You have to get the AV1 NIGHTLY version from this link, this is the most updated version github.com/HandBrake/handbrake-snapshots/releases/tag/win scroll down, X86 Win .exe version for windows
so basicly Intel's IGPU with Quick Sync isnt good for Twitch,You Tube etc streaming?Best picture quality is achieved with strong CPU(without IGPU) and for the moment Nvidia GPU with Nvenc encoder for streaming?
Thanks for your videos, need your help so I can understand and do the best choice, I'm willing to get a laptop to use as a dual pc streaming with OBS hardware encoding , and I have a limited budget either I can go with a 4060 that has a good ram 5600 ddr5 and a faster cpu or with a 4070 that has a last gen cpu 12700h and ddr4 ram , since im gonna most of the time using the laptop just for hardware encoding on OBS is there any difference between the 2 gpu in term of encoders ? knowin that the nvidia encoder is a seperated piece of hardware does both of the 4060 and 4070 perform equally? or does other specs of gpu like cuda cores , Core Speed , TMUs will boost the encoder ? . will really appreciate your answer
Hello, I can’t stream via OBS, AV 1 codec, my configuration is 13900k + RTX 4090. I start streaming on RUclips, the stream ends at 1 minute, don’t know why? can be AV 1 only for twitch site
Would love to see a comparison between GPU encoders since all 3 vendors support AV1 now and Nvidia has recently claimed theirs offer better quality than others.
Hi! Correct me if I'm wrong, RUclips only outputs video in AV1 if it is uploaded in 8k? Is there any quality difference between uploaded video in AV1(8k) and H265(8k)
RUclips encodes popular videos and channels randomly (more than 100K subscribers/views) in AV1 but it will become more common when more devices support it.
While AOM might be slower than RAV1E, you can use either AV1AN or just run multiple encoding tasks to remove that speed difference. Also I seriously doubt you can tell the difference of VMAF higher than 97 as you claim, unless you're pixel peeping. Cool and interesting video though. But why in a parking lot?
Just get Nvidia 4090 which has several hardware AV1 encoders now. I believe Nvidia unlocked 5 AV1 encode streams at the same time. Problem solved. FFmpeg 6.0 now supports NVENC AV1 encoding and HDR.
this video has a lot of useful information, thanks for making it
great video. very clear. have been looking for something like this clear explanations and specific settings. thanks man.
very informative and thorough! Thanks!
Exactly to the point. Clear and easy, thank you!
Thank man! What a exceptional video! 👏👏👏
Really thank you for that ❤
Well explained good sir
incredible info
educational! ❤
Just so you know, 30 series RTX GPUs do have AV1 decoding, however it does not have AV1 encoder.
1:04 i think its worth mentioning that older generations support hardware decode, but not encode
very good videos, make more
AV1 encoding option does not show up in my Handbrake (ver. 1.5.1). Any idea how to fix this?

I dint understand the end? why do you buy NVIDIA GPU over AMD?

You can toggle av1 in the settings
@@lifelesshawk5725 Yes, but the setting will not work on all videos. As a rule, it turns on only in 8k

Your graph is showing AV1 to be better than H.265?
Still waiting for an update 🥴

My current PC shows VP9 for this video despite opting for AV1.
