TikTok Leads to Motorcycle Suspect's Arrest: Cops

- In early December, the Georgia State Patrol pursued a motorcycle through two counties, but “ultimately lost contact with the vehicle.” Police say an officer from the Clayton County Police Department located videos on both TikTok and RUclips that appeared to be recorded during the pursuit. The motorcycle featured in those videos was a Triumph Triple Street RS. Only one Triple Street RS was registered in the area. According to police, the suspect who created these videos is now in custody.

Law enforcement attempting a pit maneuver on a highway against a motorcyclist, couldn’t be a violation of department policy now could it?
Don’t run crybaby and it won’t happen.
@@jenniferjackson1268 its not about running, its about the individual attempting to be apprehended on a cycle.
A pit maneuver at high speeds can kill the person, and most departments have policies against such reckless behavior by LEOs.
The last thing we need is a lawsuit funded by taxpayers to pay for the broken spine of the fleeing suspect, and atop of that, the determining factor of the overall encounter is the severity of the crime committed.

Was the bike reported stolen by the registered owner?
@@codymoe4986 that does not work any longer as it’s been used for decades. The minute an owner says that their vehicle was stolen after a high-speed chase looking at the owner as a suspect is reinforced even more at that point. Very few people can be a convincing enough liar to throw off police on that. The average cob deals with 13,000 people a year you become an expert in peoples mannerisms, body language and overall response to things.
The cell phone in his pocket will prove that he was on the bike at that time. If he was an actual car that’s newer or any Toyota or Lexus vehicle that would definitely prove he was driving that from the ECM alone. It’s too much to explain. You people in the public have no idea how radically scary technology is and not the slightest bit. It doesn’t matter who had a helmet on and who was riding any motorcycle, you will be caught push come to shove assuming Cellibrite is data extraction is available.
When you pass a cell phone tower which tens of thousands of people passed cell phone towers every minute pings go to the tower and send a signal back to the cell phone. Those pings have information logged to show his cell phone it was that ping to that tower, the location of the ping and actually the speed about That they were traveling at when it did paying. When there is a chase police can go back to the local cell phone towers when they passed that location and find about the area and timestamp of it and get cell phone service to data extract all ping information from the towers. This is done through either a subpoena or simple request as you do not own that data the cell phone companies do. The majority of cell phone companies wholeheartedly cooperate with law-enforcement and most of the time no subpoena is needed as after all, it’s their data not yours. You can source the ping by its location and the speed that the device source was traveling at and they can core it to that individual simply because they had a cell phone in their pocket.
People think that they get smart and use burner phones when they commit crimes but your burner phone at some point gets new your cell phone and the two devices talk to each other even though you never connected them wether it be through blue tooth or any other method. This is too much to explain but you just have no idea How in-depth this goes.
