This song got me through suicidal times when I was in high school. Although I'm no longer suicidal, I still battle with depression and this is still my go to song. It's also one of my favorite song to listen to even when I'm not depressed.

I can respect that Chris, For me, the band that makes the greatest difference in my dark times is Nightwish with Floor Jansen. I'm a 30 year veteran 8 as a Marine 12 in the U.S Navy, spent 10 as a PMC. So my thoughts are dark, destructive. A friend of mine took me to a Nightwish Concert, it was and remains better than any medication the V.A or private psychologist ever prescribed. Her voice, the music has a way of reaching part of me I believed was long dead. I'm so grateful for such bands. I'm glad you made it through those times. Stay safe out there
@@marcusanton95 I love Nightwish. I'm glad I made it also. Now I work as a Behavioral Health Technician at a psychiatric hospital and work mainly with suicidal kids.

I just got out of a toxic relationship that lasted 5 years. Not only did I wake up, realize who I am, who I’ve always been. But I realized what I deserve. In that fight of getting out, one friend stood by my side, who’s going threw a toxic relationship all her own. The steaks have never been higher. But this song, helps on levels you could never know. Keep it up.

This song has saved my life countless times. I've battled depression for the last 3 going on 4 years of my life and have nearly ended my life too many times to count, if it wasn't for this song I wouldn't be here. God bless Adam Gontier for writing this beautiful song. Edit: Also can we all agree there vocalist fucking nailed this song?
Absolutely agree, I had chills the whole way through. And as a survivor of depression I just want to say you aren't alone, you are worth something, and you are cared about even if you don't know it or believe it at times. It gets better, it truly does and will.
I always thought they sang "Enjoy life" rather than the actual lyrics "end your life" when I was younger. Oh the sweet time of innocence.

I just lost a member of my family she was my great grandmother, she taught me music is my talent and she was right. But i want to thank Audra, Sam, Matt and Ryan for helping me during this tough time during my grieving with this cover and all the greats you guys do. A few months ago a great guy I went to high school with took his own life. A couple months later a girl I walked the graduation line right behind was shot by her husband. Man. This song hits hard this year.
