I'm happy there is a talk on this. I just got my first set of hearing aids last year and it has made a world of difference. I can hear my family and tv so much better. I'm glad this technology exists.

This absolutely needs to be shared more !! people need to realize no difference from treating your hearing or your vision ! Also your right hearing health needs to be taught in schools !!!!

Maybe because they can’t afford hearing aides, the accessories that have to be replaced once a month, their upkeep, and the cost to buy the next set of aides, when the current ones wear out or break…. It is not an affordable choice for many folks…

There are over-the-counter options now, fortunately, that are much more affordable. I've had good luck with them!

Yes, I use OTC aides, but the good ones- w/ high reviews - still cost me about $1600, which blew my medical care budget for the year… 😔 I don’t make much money - as I am an hourly wage earner. So, again, that blew my budget out of the water,!!!! But the results are better! 👍
I had tried cheaper ones, and they were NOT good! The back ground noise was atrocious, and drove me crazy 😵‍💫 to wear them!
