Thank you for the Baby Lock Evolution Serger videos ... they help to remind me why I bought this awesome machine !!! Looking forward to more of your videos !!!
Hi Edith, I meant where you place the chain needle 1, 2 and 3 to which thread port from the back and then thread them to the front. I was hoping to see the back of serger on how you bring the threads to the front. Thanks.
Edith, Could you video the complete threading of the evolution? I have bought the evolution but I can't get in for a lesson until the end of the month. Great video by the way.
Thanks for a great video. I just found you and have been watching them all. I'm having a lot of trouble with chain and coverstitch though. The chain looper doesn't seem to form stitches on wither stitch and when it does, it makes only the chain with no elasticity. Do you have any ideas how I can fix it?
Hi there, try a stitch length of 3 and make sure the differential is set to N and most importantly use ELx705needles. The needle tension should be set 3-5. Hope that helps.
The loopers would have no problem with the weight of the thread, what you would want to test is how wirey the thread is, if it has too much body the needles won't be able to catch and the loops won't form nicely around the cut edge of the fabric. Test by serging slowly with strong thread in the needles and the nylon thread in the loopers. Ramp up your speed by increments as long as your stitches are forming consistently. Best regards.
I want one, but what i want to know (other then the price) can you use heavy threads such as 69wt. Bonded nylon? Is the machine strong enough to use it and if it jams while using it at high speed, will it break the machine in terms of bending and/or snapping any of the loopers?
Yes, the pintuck foot comes with 2 plastic pieces, one that you can feed cord through and the one that creates the dimensional tuck. I have seen them in white and yellow plastic.
Hi there, it is that easy and I'm sure with a little practice you'll be able to switch from one technique to the other with ease and even faster than me!
Would be more instructive if you demonstrated how to thread the chain tension disk. Baby Lock's instructions for this step aren't clear and most of the videos don't begin until after they've brought the chain looper thru the tension. Why is that???

Do you have a video on how to thread the cover stitch needles after coming
down from the antenna? I cannot figure how to click them in.
I wish you would show how you get the cover stitch needle thread from the back to the front.

The only thing I needed help with was how to to thread for the coverstitch which was not shown???
how do you thread the chain looper area to the right of the machine?
I am so grateful for each tutorial. I will be trying this tomorrow.
Thank you so much. Looking forward to see more of your videos. By the way, you have a very nice voice.

Hi Amy, I will include this in the next Evolution video. Thanks for your input, have a great day!
did the yellow plastic piece come with the foot?
I'll have to check it when I get home. Thanks for showing the pintuck foot.
just wondering where the part is about how to "thread" the needles for cover stitch?!

Do you mean the wrong side of the fabric or to the front of the foot?
The accessories are available individually which is great because you can add them as your skills grow!

would have been helpful if you demonstrated how to thread the back of the machine for the needles. It is a special way of threding

Excellent teaching video!
Baby Lock Sergers are manufactured in Japan
does this work for the Evolve also?

are all those accessories included in the kit?
one last question...what country are babylock made in?
How much does one of these machines sell for? etheir New or used.
Thanks, more coming soon!
you didn't show how to thread .
Unfortunately the video doesn't show how to actually do it. Too bad.
This video does not demonstrate how to thread the chain looper, which is a little tricky. I think it should be deleted.
Cool beans
Terrible video, you didn’t show the most important part which is how to side thread 👎🏻🤪
Is this supposed to be a joke? Pretty much showed threading needles and moving needles, not very useful.
