In this video I was trying to build a budget PC for my nephews 11th birthdays. I stumbled across Zach's Tech Turf's channel (linked below) while doing research. I seen he had a $500 PC build, and I decided to try building it. it's been about 2 months since I built this PC and gave it to my nephew, and he loves it. Shoutout to Zach for the build inspiration. I'd say you make a much better $500 PC than an Amazon/eBay/Walmart seller like SJ/BTO and STGAubron. Unlike the cheap Amazon PCs, you'd get a modern platform that supports Windows 11 (and can run games like VALORANT, League of Legends, and Madden NFL 24), better build quality, and better Wi-Fi and game performance. You also can choose to get a better keyboard and mouse given the STGAubron and a lot of PCs sold by sellers like STG and BTO/SJ Computers tend to use cheap, poor quality "gaming" keyboards and mice which probably won't last well especially the headsets. You'll pay more for name brand gaming devices, but you'll get better peripherals. Also worth noting is that the motherboards and most pre-built desktops/laptops also have Bluetooth which is useful for Microsoft's Xbox controllers in case you don't have the appropriate cable or don't have a third-party (PDP/PowerA) Xbox controller.
The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is definitely a better GPU than GT 1030 and it's still a pretty good GPU despite being close to the minimum GPU requirement of GTX 1050/1060 for modern games although I'm sure an 11 year-old probably isn't going to run a modern AAA game and will probably be used for games like Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, and The Sims 4 which would work fine with an old graphics card anyway, and the performance of the graphics card isn't going matter for 2D games like Terraria, Stardew Valley, and most games in RPG Maker.

Hey man, not sure if you could help me solve my pc issue but I am not getting anywhere near the fps you are getting in fortnite and stuff. Ever since the warzone rebirth update came out I experience bad fps drops in all my games now on my pc as well as my network shows on speed tests (on pc) I’m getting 1gb download and 1gb upload but somehow still get connection problems where my download speed when downloading games is like 200KB/s when I have a 1 gig download speed which makes no sense. I do stream and record on a single pc setup but never had any issues until the warzone update. All my drivers and everything are up to date but I’ve noticed my ram is at 98% when playing games and my cpu usage jumps around quite a bit. I get around 100fps on performance mode on fortnite with everything turned off and somehow still get frame drops at certain times but call of duty I have everything turned to the lowest setting and it just freezes and frame drops through the whole game. I’ve always been able to stream or record at 1080p/60fps and game on my pc for months but it seems like the last two months my pc is just not cutting it anymore and I’m not sure if it’s time to upgrade or if it’s a part issue. Any info or tips would help and be greatly appreciated!

Are you using OBS to stream? Do you still have the same issues when you’re not streaming?
@@PettyAF I use streamlabs obs to stream and regular obs to record my gameplay. Yes it happens when I’m not streaming or recording as well. I’ve actually noticed that my pc will freeze and stuff just browsing google. What I feel like is happening after some testing last night that my pc is not getting my full internet speeds on games. Last night when doing a speed test my computer shows it’s getting 980 Mbps download and 970 Mbs upload but when gaming or even downloading games my pc is only allowing my games to get like 100 KB/a which is barely 1/10th of a Mb. So I’m not sure how to fix that unless I start with maybe a new motherboard or something and than work my way from there
@@THE_VIRTUALIZED oh ok. I was wondering if maybe your streamlabs had an update and some setting changed that you were unaware of. I’ve had that happen to me before. Are you using wifi or Ethernet?
@@PettyAF I’m using Ethernet. My wife’s gaming pc on wifi will run better than mine and download games faster. I’m wondering if I need to try and reinstall windows
@@THE_VIRTUALIZED I have no idea then. As I was reading your first msg, every potential problem I could think of you eliminated as I kept reading. Sorry I can’t be more help. I guess it’s possible resetting your pc could fix it? That’s what I’m about to do with my wife’s pc cuz she’s having similar problems
