I play monk as my second, and believe me, every build except for the lighting funnel one is very vunerable to DOTS and control. The Key thing to kill that build it to be faster/behind them. I Agree for tempest though.
I noticed that some of my gems appeared dormant in brawl, but I assumed it was just a visual bug, like how it often displays the wrong essences in conqueror. Thanks for confirming that it’s not just visual. I would guess that awakened bonuses are therefore also inactive on the gems dormant in brawl. No wonder I was feeling a lot weaker than usual there! Tip: you weren’t equipping or dropping any loot. I could swear it used to prompt you to equip upgrades. Am I imagining things?
The awakened bonuses, to my knowledge, have never been active in Brawl which is the reason for these gems being dormant in this mode now - no reso gems = Dormant gem. That’s why in the second run, I went with just the random 2 and 5 star gems that I had. I did equip loot at the start and it does prompt you to equip the better gear (or at least if did that for me in the run I did which I hadn’t filmed), but I definitely wasn’t getting so lucky with the gear this time. 🥲
I had the worst luck in Elder Rift! Ran 40 red and 20 purple crests and got two 2/5 star Leg gems I don’t use and couldn’t sell. Every sellable gem was a one star! And only like 4 two star gems. 😢
Urgh that’s so frustrating. And 1 star gems are not selling on our server right now. I’ve had some that I’ve been refreshing for weeks, and at the lowest price possible! 🤦🏻♀️

That happens to me a lot at times too. Other times, I’ve done really well in Brawl. It would have been better for us to have gone with a full team in this instance, but nevermind. 🥲
I wish this event was solo player experience, because most of the times i get bad party, people just run around and pick chests. When I am fighting no one helps. Diablo game always should be more solo player experience, like Diablo 4 for example. Everything should be doable solo and not punishing for doing solo. I am forced to be in clan and have towers/battle shadow wars, because if i am not i lose 3-4 free Legendary crests per week.
Normally if I try to play Brawl solo, I’m just put into bot matches. 😅 I originally downloaded DI to replace Darkness Rises which was totally solo player, and I honestly did not intend being social with Diablo, but here I am. But I agree, it would be nice if more aspects of the game were solo player friendly too.

If you used the new gem power method for your gems they appear dormant in brawl but they actually work
You gotta make sure you all stick together and you will have the best win rate 😊

Every time I play wild brawl my opponents always have huge shields and takes no damage all while killing me and my team in one hit, im good lol
