@wratch There is no Slavic DNA! It is just a linguistic term. The Slavs are a conglomerate of over 200 different ethnicities, the majority of which were only Slavized by the invasions of the RuZ empire.
I am from Romania, north of the Balkans, and like many Sardinians I belong to haplogroup G2a, which is the same as the first farmers. In the Cucuteni culture that stretched from Romania to Ukraine, 80% of the genetic tests on ancient remains are G2a, and even G2a2b2a1, just like mine.
@wratch Romanians are latin people. There is no much genetic connection between all the so-called Slavic peoples, except maybe linguistic similarity. And this is also valid in other Empires such as the Roman Empire, the English Empire, the Spanish Empire, the Mongol Empire and others that have existed. The Romanians are neither genetically nor linguistically Slavic, but they are Romanians, genetically close to those around them, even if the others were linguistically Slavicized. For example, Bulgarians (Slavs) are genetically very close to Romanians (Latins), although they are quite different from Poles, Belarusians or St. Petersburg Russians (Slavs).
