I bought mine today, in Santiago de Chile. I’ 52 yo. and I colect pedal since 1982. So , yes I have ALL the “holy grails”, some of wich I bought several !, on the 80’s, yeah I’m lucky. So, one month ago I bought yours 3rd Dimension, and I said WOW!, also!, y LOVE the Bypass, great!. Now this Bucket Delay, hands down this new tecnology and those CoolAudio Chip are better than the olders “holy grails” I have. . Thank’s Tc Electronic People, well and sorry my english. Best Regards From Patagonia de Chile
With all the wonderful processed modulation and complexity packed into so many pedals. I really like the uncluttered, syrup-free clarity to build on, or form a base for, my other effects and dominant guitar and amp tone. It also seems it might fit well with my own takes on more rootsy music. Definitely worth exploring further
Just got this pedal through a trade and I am thoroughly impressed. The tone is excellent and it has an incredibly small footprint. The modulation sounds great. The speed trim pots sweet spot seems to be around 25% and I don’t see myself needing to change that ever. 10/10 pedal, especially considering the value.
Another Great Pedal that when available I’m Ordering, I have had my Flashback since 2017 ! Tc pedals are so amazing, thanks Tc for not charging us customers a ton for these pedals!
They are part of a huge corporation now and that's the reason why they don't need to charge more for their pedals. Nothing to be grateful about. Things like that will be our doom sooner or later ;) Nevertheless good pedals.
I really like the form factor of this series. It is really odd, though, that your web site doesn’t seem to allow me to view just this series. There doesn’t even seem to be a name for it that is used consistently to let me know which pedals are part of the line. I’d love to see a modulation added to the series and something with cab sim, DI, & headphone to terminate the chain.
Lol i know right. Why not just put a small knob where all the other knobs are. I never understand when pedal companies do this when they could easily add extra knobs
Looks like a decent option for a small footprint analog delay. It's too murky for my taste from the sound of it, but I do like the top jacks. Interested to know if the circuit charges the voltage up from 9v. Doesn't sound like it.
It's a nice, no frills, gets the job done nicely delay pedal HOWEVER if you're a fan of working on German cars then you'll be right at home accessing the modulation speed internal trim pot: 4 external screws PLUS removing the jack nuts PLUS the spacers. Do yourself a favor and mark the spot to drill a hole in the housing to access the trim pot.
Dear All Pedal Makers, Please, for the love of God, use rear-mounted jacks like this, only. Narrow pedals with side-mounted jacks aren't accomplishing anything. Nice Mod features on this one, TC.
Agreed!! I have some mini pedals and when I compared the overall footprint with the plugs in those pedals to the footprint of a larger pedal with top mounted jacks it was pretty much the same. And even worse if I didn’t use my small cables. My obsession over this has gotten worse... to the point I avoid buying pedals with side jacks now. I’ve even modified some of my pedals so the jacks are at the top now.
tc electronic now needs to add a Bluesbreaker type overdrive and a Nobels type overdrive to this new smaller line of pedals. I was a bit skeptical of this line when the Magus Pro and SkySurfer mini first came out, but the more I see and hear, the more I'm liking it. Excellent quality sound, and ever better value for the money.
Ice pedal, sounds ok, but.. wondering why that trimpot for speed must be “inside” instead of a ( maybe small) normal pot on the outside.. i feel that this is a design flaw …, just my two cents ..
Man. Even with pedal-jesus gone, TC is working miracles. Quality BBD, that can do fun self-oscillation with top jacks.. and for $70? High five, Vikings.
It would be nice if you made the ECHOBRAIN available for the general public again .!!. It has a better old school sound for Rockabilly & country funkish sounds. This sounds to much like an analog delay Trying to be an analog delay. The sound is just not honest. Too Generic
I'm sure it sounds great, but seriously? What's the tempo of the demo? Anyone? You going to use it on stage with different songs at different tempos? Without a ms. indicator or a Tap Tempo, how the heck do you sync it with anything? How is this even practical? (goes for all delays you have to try to turn a knob to dial in a precise tempo) Just my personal pet peeve when it comes to delays.
I get what you’re saying for sure, I love tap tempo and almost always look for it in a delay pedal now, but there is some special magic in analog delays that doesn’t have anything to do with tempo. At the price point of this series you’re just not going to get true bucket brigade delay and tap tempo. You can still have a lot of fun with the oscillation and degradation of the repeats and you don’t have to shell out a ton of money for a rare vintage unit which would also be unreliable. I have had several different versions of the Memory Man over the years and the older ones often needed repairs and then I would loose confidence in using them for a gig. I ended up getting rid of them all when I got the modern 1100-TT version (which does have tap tempo), but is extremely reliable and honestly sounds as good as the old ones to me... the caveat is it costs much much more than this one will. To me this would be a great first delay pedal for someone learning guitar, or someone on a budget, or as an excellent pedal for someone looking to add a second delay to their board to go crazy with (which is how I use the memory man). I guess it depends on the type of music you play, but their are a lot of practical applications for delay sounds that aren’t necessarily in time with the song. Radiohead always comes to mind. At least they gave it rear/top mounted jacks. 😂 .
With 600ms Max delay time, you really don't need to Sync It live. You'll It as a slapback delay or like a long reverb with shorter delay times. That's the use, and works Fine that way.
It does sound great. That's not in dispute. But with digital emulations being so good now, the difference is just splitting hairs, and I see this more as a feel-good toy for musicians. I was under the impression that the dark, dirty quality of most BBD pedals was made them desirable in the present. When I think about buying an analog delay pedal, I'm not thinking about how "pristine" and "clear" the delays are. That's why digital delays were invented. I guess what I'm saying I don't understand the raison d'être of this pedal.
It's for boomers, gammons and nerds who eschew digital technology. Like me. I have a 1980s DOD analogue delay that's been on my board since it was new. Still works ok, but it would be interesting to compare it with this one, especially since this includes modulation.

Looks cool, sounds good and lovely playing from Stig. Sure this will sell buckets ;)
that vox sounds perfect!
Was not sure but i am sold now. Headed to Sweetwater to grab this
This pedal sounds awesome, but will there ever be a 2290 reissue? That’s what I’d really love to see! And I’m sure I’m not the only one!
Great 👍🏼 would love to try one of these
Excelente creación de tc electronics....es un memory toy mejorado......
I want! Still loving my magus pro... more of these please!
what do y'all have against backlighting?
Love this series
Next time put that trim pot on the front of the damn pedal
How does this compare to the Echo Brain?
when will this be available again?
It's been out of stock for a long time
Very nice sounding!
Internal trim pot adjusts modulation speed......
Why?

Is it possible to get a chorus sound on this without delay? Eg really fast delay time?

Wow, did TC invent the BBD? Impressive!
nope - phillips did
@@peteytwofinger who is phillip and why did he invent a bucket brigade
@@ckhgator He needed a bucket brigade in 1954, because the winter was coming and he had leaks on his house rooftop.
The chips were available in the early 70s. I used them to build a modulation box in 1975

Just got my preorder in from Sweetwater.
Beautiful, I love my tc grand magus. Cinders od, Polytune and vibraclone. This is one is a must , where can you get it in Canada?
Not long and mcquade they dumped behringer and all their products.
Looks like Jamie Lannister in the intro.

No, the Gauss is digital.

This is analog not digital. They do have BBD style delays already in plethora though I'm sure.
A buck for E.T.
