I got my 2017 Pink PSE Xpression for €450. I got it second hand a couple months ago to start shooting compound, and I absolutely love it. The shoot through riser is just so nice. I don't like the DC cams that much though, I prefer something like a DCX, which is more agressive.
I got a 2015 pse dream season decree few weeks ago for $300 shipped and near mint condition. Was a deal I couldn't pass up when I was looking at a new bow madness.
I wouldn't buy from ebay either, you just don't know. I got mine from a PSE group where a lot of the people know each other so reputations matter. My somewhat local shop has a very limited selection . Small place and they sell fishing and firearms as well so they reduce items in all three areas. I will support them when I can but they make it a bit tough at times.
I have yet to see a bad review on his bows so not sure I would stay away if I was living over there. I avoid the unknown sellers specially when I see them selling NIB bows online that Makers like PSE do not allow. Derailments are almost always user induced from either twisting bow string or torquing the bow. It would take a pretty good cam lean to derail and that would be obvious before nocking the first arrow. These are just the usual causes, I can't say what yours is.
Haha any suggestions on upgrades . Im currently shooting a pse fireflight i bought used back in the late 90s? Im quite proficient with my old bow but its about time for a new string and im sure even the cheapest entry level hunting bow is leagues nicer than 90s tech. Id like to spend less than 600 on a complete rth package.
You seriously need to swap the limbs on that Phoenix you rebuilt. It sticks out like a sore thumb next to the other one with the limbs as they should be.
A hoyt carbon element sold for 1400. A string costs 150 but for someone to put it on, tune the bow and adjust after the string has been shot in its about 300. Dropping what you are off the bow isn't worth the chance. It's a few hundred dollars not thousands.
Both compound bows I have bought have been used. My first one was a pse xpression 3d which i got for 350usd. The second 1 month later was a TRX 36 for 1000usd that came with a second pair of limbs and string. Both were a steal.
Give Ya a challange inheritied a Bass pro provider PD6 model. Chk'd w/BP tech &N said made by PSE ? Sadly I'm a DAV so need a bow of no-more than 30 lbs due 2my injuries! My uncle had it cranked up 2 max 50+lbs. The adjustments for limbs is froze up badly as is the cam adjustment ! it was stored in wood shed. Any idea of value or how 2 reduce pull weight? TY sub'd recently also LuV archery b4 Military injuries
Thanks for the videos, this one really helped me get a second hand bow. I end up on a prime rival, was between that elite energy, and hoyt powermax. Your other video on powermax and prime ion rock. Take care.
A machined riser is no stronger then a cast riser. A machined riser is machined from a cast. Also even if it is a magnesium riser. Magnesium is the harden agent used to harden aluminum. Also Hoyt still does a finishing machined and process ect. to take any rough edges. Either way a machined riser is still a cast riser. They both start from a cast.
if the material cast risers were made out of was the same, and subject to the same care in alloying, pouring, cooling etc then that might be the case. however, cast magnesium risers aren't made to the same quality, which is why they snap unexpectedly.
Keep in mind of this, when you buy a second hand bow online, it doesn't come with a warranty because someone else used it. It's up to you if you think you need that warranty for cover of anything that goes wrong, or if you find that you can take the risk and go without a warranty. Personally for me, I'll go with the warranty 100% even if it costs me more to get it new. So don't be thinking that some of these deals would be so great because when you add in accessories and you add in the cost of new strings and cables (those will need to go the moment you buy the bow or soon) it might be better to get a new bow rather then second hand.
@@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale Interesting that you seem reluctant to answer many of the questions relating to archery equipment but you take the time to reply to a question about an accessory for a dog that has nothing to do with archery
bikeboy0012, He is talking Australian dollars and he has a business to keep open. You can get cheaper buying from individuals like I did but you do not have the service either.
James Smullins yep. Super, income, income tax, utilities, rent, insurance etc. All the things people don’t think about. Service from Archery Supplies is the best I’ve ever had.
When I go to bed and relax... this is the only channel n watch

I know it is kind of off topic but do anybody know of a good website to watch new tv shows online?
@Israel Jamison i would suggest Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Marcellus Jorge Yup, I have been using FlixZone for since march myself :)
@Marcellus Jorge Thank you, signed up and it seems to work :) I appreciate it!
I only buy second hand, they usually are killer buys!
Need a new one of these used bow vids!

Great video. Looking for my first compound and now definitely thinking about buying second hand if I can feel a good shop in England 👍
Can we get shipped to Karratha wa .where are you
Those Martin limbs (X4) are great limbs…you just don’t want to rub them at full draw. Back them down 5 pounds and you will never break them

What about factoring in no warranty? Would u decide the shootdown with no warranty still instead of the new phenom with warranty?

Thanks
Its a dog sling. $20, Malla likes been held especially when she is tired or cold. This way I keep both hands.
