How the faithful have been rewarded. Underdog stories are always magical, but it feels the best to have it be a team that you've supported. It was feeling like T1 vs DRX for me tbh. Dhokla fan since the Optic days (my favorite player in the LCS). El Contracto rising up to show what he's got after his long career. Christian Palafox showing up in so much of the playoffs, was incredibly clutch for the team and showcases what NA talent has to offer. FBI winning again. In my eyes, a very underestimated player in a lot of the community's eyes, just because he's from OCE, "doesn't have personality" or people just don't know him very well. Showed up big today, extremely clean, got a Finals MVP and proved everyone wrong. And finally Ignar, a massive career resurgence as well, swimming through the shit with teams like IMT, DIG and academy, before finally proving what he has to offer as well. Flashbacks to Misfits vs SKT for him. I'm just so incredibly proud of everyone on the team, even the coaches despite all the memes. Practically no one expected this result, with the overwhelming amount of C9 fans and TL fans. Feels good to prove that giants can be toppled and stories like this are possible from time to time. Dhokla on top, NRG on top. Life is good! 😊
i only started watching lcs summer 2022, and CLG was the reason for it. Watching these guys play was so entertaining. I haven't stopped smiling since yesterday. They played so well as a team. Everyone looked amazing. I am so proud and beyond happy for them. Well deserved win!!!
@@JohnnyRamRod Theres a difference between respect and 'root for'. You dont root for a rival. Rivals are rivals for a reasn, unless you're a bandwagon fan who dont actually feel it. Its like Real Madrid fans never root for Messi or Barca to get anything.

Everyone trolls NRG for their amount of coaches, but if this is the result I'd imagine teams will quickly start realizing they can hire a whole team of supplement coaches for the cost of some of these increasingly expensive imports.
Completely agree. NRG is the first to realize that hard work trumps skill if the skill doesn't work hard. They went with a coaching structure that is very similar to a traditional sports team, and I think everyone else in the LCS will start to realize why.
Yes! The structure of multiple coaches could be a great thing for e-sports teams like league where there are multiple roles and positioning tactics during team fights. Could make the high tier players become top tier players when it comes to teamfights which matter the most.

Teamwork vs skill this series, and teamwork won. Seemed like nrg were the only ones making plays early game, even when they didn't work. And in late game teamfighting they were clean, always on the same page and all targeting the correct person in the split second opportunities

Gratz NRG. Good luck at Worlds. Cloud 9 is still in search of a mid laner. Honestly they should sub emenes out in worlds for anything if it is allowed. Not that it will matter. I hope emenes proves me wrong. Mithy is a very average drafter also.
All the C9 fans needing a scape goat and blaming emenes he played great last split and had the entire PNC arena chanting his name (I was there) the better team won. Emenes isn't the problem as a whole.
Wanted C9 to get their 3rd in a row and cement themselves as one of the greatest orgs. They were just a bit too cocky this playoff round. They did not look as good as summer playoffs but their attitude was just as high. I hope they have confidence going into worlds, because they need confidence going against the top regions or they will 💯 get blown away.
they were always super cocky and arrogant - the crazy thing is that some of their most arrogant players (like Zven) aren't even necessarily the best at their role, the whole org didn't feel like those great orgs from the past, C9 always seemed like they were a decently good team on par with other good teams and then just had berserker - only that berserker despite winning them all those championships isn't actually the cocky one in the group...NRG highlighted the difference just after the game in the interviews, they were so happy and not afraid to show it, didn't shit on anybody, didn't even lose a single word about C9 or anything, just expressed pure joy and shed tears
>implying NA isn't going to get blown out of Worlds just like last year We're not a competitive region, we're a monetized region. This playoff format will continue to be garbage and a disadvantage for the winners bracket until the team from the loser bracket has to win the series twice. Playing in the losers bracket you are able to play more games and you even play a series the day before meaning you are already basically warmed up and use to the big stage. It just seems so weird that by not losing a series you are basically penalized with extended time off and no margin for error
Exactly. They are 1-1 in series but NRG gets the championship for some reason. It used to be double elimination where they would play another series. Idk why they decided to change that an reward the lower bracket team.
On the flip side, the winning team gets to observe how the other teams play and prepare. They can also rest up a bit more. I think there’s negatives and positives on both sides.
@@KOHUNIT I can't think of any other reason except their team being on the bad end of it. Every other upper bracket team got a second chance. Why does C9 not get one for beating everyone until the end?
From a competitive integrity standpoint it's annoying, but it makes perfect sense from a production value standpoint. If the finals were double elimination, a LOT fewer people would care to watch, since you can just assume c9 would win. And if they don't, then ppl would be able to tune in for finals round 2 -- it would get rid of all the "winner takes all" tension from the first series if NRG had to win twice.
