  • Hello. I am "Hiroshi" , Lieutenant Colonel " K ", a Japanese army officer in reserve.
I was registered as a First Lieutenant (1LT) in the Infantry for a long time, however after retiring from the Army my day job was a doctor (psychiatrist). This past July 1, I was finally registered as a reserve army doctor and I was promoted three ranks.
Now, I am pleased to announce that I have completed my origami F-18 (also known as F/A-18) Super Hornet fighter jet plane. In fact, I built an F-18 once before in 1988, but only finished one plane.
This time, I was so impressed by the movie "Top gun Maverick" that I worked very hard to build it. This work can be made on a single sheet of A4 size paper, without cutting, and its flight performance is not bad. The F-18 evolved greatly with the type E, changing the shape of the air intakes and the dogtooth notch in the main wings, and I think I was able to express these features relatively well in this work.
The year 1986, when the previous movie "Top gun" was released, was the year I entered the National Defense Academy of Japan and became a cadet. I feel a sense of fate that the second film, "Top gun Maverick," was released this year when I became a lieutenant colonel (LTC).
