I have watched its entirety many times. I will say, in the earlier eps, he wasn't mean. He was nice, a bit awkward and weird, but nice. As it went on though mainly after the baby's birth, he was so selfish. Even in this last season, taking Amy's ring and making it look like she lost it? There's a reason his father was more in favor to Ricky. Ben was acting like a 12 year old child who wanted a new toy and wasn't getting his way
If Ben was as selfish as you claim how come in 5 seasons he only slept with 2 women. If he was so selfish what benefit did he get from being with Amy or Adrian. Why didn't he sleep with Amy when she asked? Why did he go to Adrian when ever she needed him. Why did he turn down, Grace, Adrian, Maria, Dylan,Chloe and others when they offered to sleep with him. Why did he make Amy call Ricky so he could be there to see his son be born. Now who did half of what he did for others? Watch the show
You said Ben ruined lives whose? Even when he got Adrian pregnant, it was actually had a good effect on her. With the drugs and fire, his actions forced Dylan's parents to pay better attention to her, and her friends which was a good thing. He also was the one who helped Amy deal with being pregnant, and helped Ricky change. As for Ricky and Amy they were going to break up regardless. Evidence of this is Amy DIDN'T APPLY TO RICKY'S COLLEGE. Now whose life did Ricky affect in a good way.
I don't blame Ricky for everything, I hold him accountable for the things he did, and the events he helped set in motion, and never took responsibility. Ricky could have talked Ben and Adrian to see how they were doing. He could have shown how much they were important to him, by making them Johns God Parents, so they could share him or convince them to go back to therapy. But he did almost nothing, but call himself a friend to them. Real friends do something.
I'm with ya, but the reasons arent hard to find. He cheats, he lies, he acts like a baby, only cares about himself, is bipolar with everything he wants, doesn't know how to take life seriously or responsibly, and is completely ignorant. Oh but since he's like skinny cute and "innocent", its fine. Hes likeable anyway. smh at ben fans lol
Okay - rewatch the episodes. He did lie to her and did not tell her the truth until she showed up and he had to. Even then he delayed it and continued to fool around with her. He lost Amy BECAUSE of Maria, that's why they broke up! So it was his fault. Ricky was bad but turned his life around, became faithful, was a man and took care of his kid. Ben never changed, other than he kept getting worse. He's always been about him and his pain. He didn't care whose life he ruined to get what he wanted.
Ben was there for Amy. He was there for Adrian. He was there for Henry and Alice when they broke up. He was there for Adrian when Omar left. he was there for his dad when he wanted to be with Camille. He was there for a pregnant girl just like Amy. He was there for Chloe, and for Ethan when they both were having problems.

I think in a healthy relationship, Ricky would not maintain a friendship with Adrian and Ben...
