I helped my daughter hang her wedding pictures in her walk in closet and she just loves how it turned out. You could have a display wall in your garage where you work out with your kids art that they made for you😊

I know how difficult it is for most moms. It's like the home doesn't function without your constant attention, and it's very demanding. BUT ... Stop a moment to smell the roses, as they say. And know that what you do has much value in your family's lives. They notice the difference when you can't come through for them, which happens from time to time.
I used that Clorox wand too and my toilets turned yellow after awhile. I bought Zep toilet cleaner and it took all the stains and hard water deposit off.
Some of the things I do with my clothes every season is 1. turn the hangers backwards, when I wear something the. The hanger gets turned back to the “normal” way 2. Drawer items I fold normal and when I wear something I put it back the Mari Kondo way (kind of trifold and standing), 3. I turn my footwear toes out and when worn they go back heels out; then when each season ends, anything still hanging backwards or regular folded or toes out goes bye bye. In the past year I have filled 3 45 gallon trash bags with just clothes and 1 15 gal trash bag with footwear- all in excellent condition (the ragged or stained clothes are made into shop/craft tags or tossed). I did something similar in the kitchen- I took ALL the cookware, bakeware, platters, glassware, serve ware, cooking spoons/spatulas and small appliances out of the cabinets and drawers, placed them in bins in our laundry room (big enough for 5 large tote bins) and when I used something, it went back into the cabinets or drawers and after 3 months, if stuff was still in bins, they were donated. Of course I kept my large electric roaster for the turkey and super sized roasts for large gatherings and my kitchen aid mixer but was able to get rid of a large food processor, a blender (had 2) and smoothie blender and so much plastic food storage containers (kept just my glass food storage containers). Sometimes, we have to strip rooms bare to figure what we can live without and then put back only those items we actually use daily. I will always keep 2 sets of sheets for each bed and 2 sets of towels for each bed (all about the guests and grandkids) so I am not trying to rush washing those items and put them back on beds in the same day- I can strip beds and remake them immediately and take the rest of the day to wash the dirty ones and still be able to climb into bed or not worry about having a clean towel for myself or guests because I only keep a towel for myself and my husband (that’s just too minimalistic for me). I keep cleaning supplies in every bathroom also and when we lived in a tri-level home (3200sqft) I kept a vacuum on each level, but we have downsized to a 1200sqft single story home and one vacuum is all I need now. For me, the easiest and most efficient way to clean is to keep items close, like the bathroom supplies or sheets in that particular bedroom room closet along with the towels and an extra blanket in the bedroom closet. I have hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels instead of towel bars as it actually saves space an allows each towel to be hung instead of hanging a wet towel in a bedroom. Life is good people, make it easier to enjoy it!

I had a Kirby years ago unfortunately it was one of their models that bombed out, so then I had a rainbow for over 20 years and my husband bought me a new rainbow a few years ago, I do have cordless ones for light cleaning but I will never give up my rainbow, love it

For the first time in ages I had a plan , I cried at the end of completing my list the pressure was lifted. Happy with myself I have a chocolate bar a Diet Coke lol and a half written list for tomorrow. I’m going to treat my self to relaxing and watching this video. Hello Lynn fellow Floridian here. 1. I'm with you on the Georgia/ south Tennessee plan... but not sure I'll make it out either? today's brisk weather motivates and makes me happy as well. 2. Kirby rocks wait till you shampoo... best ever! I always added a Lil oxy clean powder with cleaning solution. I had my Kirby over 25 years. 3. Toilet bowl cleaner that works best on Florida's hard water is (The Works) from Walmart the Works toilet cleaner works but be careful put in leave less than minute swish and flush! Powerful stuff. Can use on any hard water deposits but never let it sit around faucet, on faucet, etc.... put on wipe (don't walk away) then rinse good... I never get hard water build up because I use that bi-weekly or as needed and keep chemical cleaners on top shelf in garage not in my home... Use to have 4 toilets now only 2. But would take in house swish each toilet put back in garage... rest of week on toilets and cleaning I use natural cleaners... but with the hard water I needed something to work. The Works does a great job and fast! Literally pour in swish flush... done! Might have to do twice first time... You will not have time to smell or breathe in toxic... I also keep a chlorox bathroom spray in garage for grout line at base in shower/ tub occasionally. On all the rest of items I use all natural. Toilet cleaner comes in house for just a few minutes bi-weekly and once month the spray chlorox bath cleaner for a few minutes. Chemicals in and out... only takes less than a minute and do not need a ton. I do not keep chemical cleaners in my home but necessary against hard water especially toilet. I make a vinegar and blue dawn spray for shower doors, tub, etc... 1 to 1 ratio microwave together about 3 minutes cool a bit then put in spray bottle... I usually make 2 cups dawn and 2 cups vinegar put in zep brand spray bottle (Lowes) or a good quality one...then I spray and leave while clean other parts of house can leave on 1 hour or all day. Really gets hard water off showers/ glass etc. In between those I just use my chemical free cleaners... on toilets and everything. Best wishes to you and yours! Proud of you great job! You'll never miss a thing. I've kept and keep things simple but still beautiful! Blessings

Someone told me that if you put all the hangers backward (open end facing front) and when you wear the item and put it back, place the hangers in the right direction. Then, after 6 months or a year, whatever is still facing backward means you didn’t wear and could declutter those items. I have tired it and it works. I keep wearing just a few of the clothes that hang in my closet.

You're very motivating. One of the best ways for me to declutter is to take everything out of a particular room or area. Then clean the empty space top to bottom. By the time I do that I'm exhausted so I'm a lot more willing to part with things when I'm too tired to put something back that I know I won't use.
I will say that even though I did sell Kirby's many many years ago I am not a fan of the Kirby vacuum cleaner because of its heaviness and just way too many attachments but that's just my opinion
I had a Kirby with the works, and it was an awesome beast, worked really great, heavy, but I could handle it. I'm not surprised, with all the cheaper lighter machines Kirby is still in business because theirs runs forever and is so powerful.
I sold them many years ago too...I own 2 now (got them used) and still won't part with them...they are the best vacuum on the market...when I clean, I only want the best...shark is good, but not as good...I do like the shark steam mops though...they don't hold enough water for mopping my house so I got a McCulloch...
