GB Team played really well. Don't think I've seen Leylah play this poorly in a very long time. She was definitely off her game with so many double faults and unforced errors. Sadly, nerves did her in.
I’m proud of Leyla .From Laval Quebec. This was not her night.Katie is tops in England for a reason.Great tennis player.Watched her win two matches on the same day in Nottingham. She and Emma are the two best in the U.K.👍
Leylah badly needs a good coach. Poor shot selection even when it’s a kill shot. Im so frustrated, expecting her to improve. Lost confidence and now lost skills….what a waste if things dont turn around for her next year. Timr, energy, and money ….
Totally agree. Leylah's skills & potential are apparent but she needs better coaching. Her mental game needs to improve too - she clearly lost it in the 2nd Set. Katie could have easily made it 6-1 if not for unforced errors. Leylah & Elena Rybakina are two dangerous players that, on their day, can give Iga & Sabalenka a run for their money.
I don't know if Leylah and her dad are an inseparable coaching team as that is how they got there and Leylah likes to have him at courtside. But, she's not improving in that environment. Something's gotta give since she's finished No 31 this year end
Of the four seeded nations, only Italy got through to the semifinals. Having a bye, and missing Round 1, has been a disadvantage to Canada, Australia and Czechia. I also read that last year’s Champions, Canada, haven’t played a match since last year’s final! To top it all, Leylah’s serve looks excruciatingly bad; the ball toss is all over the place. I think her father has reached his coaching limits……
I said before she looks like an average college player. Too short too small. And the serve has no power at all. Bad technique movement. Very surprised top 100 women tennis
Leylah must get rid of the "Dad Coach!" Her serve looks atrocious. She's contorting and doing so much "stuff" during her serving process. Also, her groundies are need more on them. She doesn't have much load or racquet head acceleration, but rather she loses power by taking everything excessively early. That style is exceedingly difficult for someone her size (she's gotta be no more than 115 lbs).
It's obvious why team Canada lost. Their Captain Heidi El-Tahbak ate all the teams food! Weak and starving, they couldn't compete! Heidi's 12 meal a day plan for putting on fat to survive the winter cost the team match wins! I also suspect she ate Genie Bouchard who is missing without a trace this year after participating last year! Launch an investigation now!

Great game, Katie's power game including those serves made a difference.
Kattie made many unforced errors, but Laylah did more. Both of 'em were not in their form.. Kattie should end this in 6-2 and 6-1.
wow Boulter's serve and inside out forehand were on fire today. Steffi Graf vibes.!

Shouldn't GBR be changed to FGB (Formerly Great Britain)?
Boulter is 1 dimensional player, but improved a lot, and polite , decent lady

Leyla, really does not contain any further strength. 😢
Terrible from leylah ,her serve should not be this level to be in top 100 ,her coach is failing all year ,she needs to upgrade fast
She let her team and her country down
@pdaniela888 um let's cut her a break, yeah? She singlehandedly carried the team to the title last year.
2:23 she has some nice serves tho… I just don’t like her movement and groundstrokes idk why 😅

It does not matter, since the earnings & sponsorship come in anyway.
They coach them with shortcuts when young, for quick bucks.

Well done Katie! 👍❤️
Excellent play for katie🔥🔥🔥
Boulter is playing like a kid.
