I understand that you have the electric only version of the i3. Did you test-drive the range extender ? If so what was the interior noise level ? I am considering one, but here in Australia the availability of charging points even in a big city like Melbourne isn't great.
Hi I didn’t unfortunately as I didn’t want to do anything other than full electric however I know people that do have them and noise level is almost silent. Most I know hardly use it once got it but understand if you don’t have as many charge points. Thanks for watching
Hi I have an i3 Rex you cannot hear or feel the Rex been on unless you are going very slowly and have the window down you will not notice it at all with the Rex you can switch it on as long as the battery has a charge of less than 75% and yes you can keep filling it up with petrol if you wish you'll get about 80 miles per tank full of fuel
Hi Simon I picked up a 2 year old all electric i3 yesterday which has just the home charge cable with it, how does the cable lock work and what is the sequence for plugging in to the car ? It seems to take a while before I can remove the cable from the car and do I need a second charge cable for charging away from home? Didn’t get much advice from bmw dealer. Thanks
Hi, in terms of releasing, usually you double click the unlock button on the key and that should release, Then wait a few seconds to release. Yes would recommend if possible a BMW charge cable but they are a little expensive but worth it.

Do yo need the plug caps someone walk off with mine
Its probaby worth getting some more as these will stop the plugs getting more wet than they need to
