the point about not having any seniors to ask for advice from is a point i never thought about, they were literally the OG idols in korea, but also so young at the same time, 23 at most, there must've been so many times where they felt lost and clueless and just had to trudge along until they couldn't anymore

And there was also a song from Shinhwa which supposedly given to H.O.T but then sm said they will give it to Shinhwa. And at that time, I think SM doesn't realize that H.O.T were very very successful and a hit group that's why he disbanded them. Poor guys.

Well before that they had to release SMRookies so public’s attention will divert from EXO to them. There weren’t really problems with F(x) in fact they’re successful, it’s when Sulli decided to leave and then Victoria wants to be more active in China than her group activities. So SM is losing their interest because of that. Red Velvet is reaching their 30s soon except for Yeri. It’s obvious SM will debut a new girl group. Also, Aespa is a really planned group even way before. If they didn’t want Red Velvet SM would’ve debuted them earlier.

Unlike TVXQ, they don't have any personal plans or business to make effect to the band activities. The shocking broken is just it had to be. I don't know when it would be happened but i do believe TVXQ will be together once again. It is difficult for H.O.T to stand together because there is no company stand out to help them coming back and SM did do something to prevent them. This is just a television program. I can only see them here and maybe in some other programs. I know it would be a long time to wait( for me it is 17 years) but just keep your love. One day, TVXQ would come back because of you.

No one knows the exact reason why they actually disbanded. It probably involved their contracts because their 5 year contract came to an end in 2001 and that’s when H.O.T disbanded.
