Wee-LC is unironically one of my favourite matches of all time, just because I consider it THE gold standard in wrestling's ability to take an idea that's stupid, inane, ridiculous and in this case borderline offensive, and make it awesomely entertaining thanks to the talents of the wrestlers involved. Yes, it's still a comedy match, but it's so much more than just "ha ha ha midgets!" like Vince intended. That Doomsday Device Jinder took off the apron was _apocalyptic._
Jeff vs Edge was such a fun match, Tbf all their matches were great. The build up and the fact that sick puppies you're going down was the song of that show made this even more special to me.
Punk vs Jericho Chicago Street Fight from 2012 is an underrated banger. That whole ppv ruled, the two matches that made this list and a really fun falls count anywhere opener with Orton and Kane featuring Zack Ryder interference

I was at Extreme Rules 2014. That SHIELD/Evolution match was absolutely killer. At one point seeing them disappear into the crowd and glancing a few sections to our left and seeing bodies flying around was pretty extr- it was pretty ext- it was pretty ext...raordinary. heh.
I know most don’t count it since it isn’t in the “Extreme Rules” show canon, but you could throw on a lot of matches from 2008’s One Night Stand on here. Jeff Hardy/Umaga, Edge/Undertaker, Melina/Beth Phoenix just to name a few. 2007 even has a Hardy Boyz/World’s Greatest Tag Team Ladder match on it as well.
Extreme Rules had great and terrible matches, but it can't be denied most of them are talked about even in the 2022. Roman Reigns with the Usos vs A.J Styles with the Good Brothers was fantastic and the Fatal 5 Way in 2017 is the perfect chaos with unpredictability. And The Shield vs Evolution...enough said.

That 6 man tag match at Extreme Rules 2014 between the Shield and Evolution was one hell of a freaking banger and I've always loved that spot where Batista got basically wrecked by the Shield at the end 😂😅

It was a miracle honestly, I don't think I'd go so far as brilliant but considering how slow Big Show was and how much he was sweating that match had no right being as good as it was.

I mean, tbf it wasn't AWFUL. He had a great match with Daniel Bryan at Extreme Rules, a good match with the Big Show at Hell in a Cell, and a decent Fatal Four Way against Jericho, Orton, and Del Rio at Over the Limit. The big problem was that he was in an endless feud with Alberto Del Rio for the majority of the title reign from around May to September, and they never really had a good match together during that time.
First off, I forgot that rowan and Bryan were ever even champions let alone that that match existed. Second, while I am upset they undid that great win for Christian, randy beating him on SD is my first definitive memory of watching wrestling so I'll always hold it in high regard anyway. Lastly, that dude in the punk shirt top right at 9:19 is how we all felt when cena won that match

According to Jericho, Vince McMahon told them they couldn't do it because he thought it was physically impossible. I dunno about you guys, but I genuinely like Big Show vs Roman Reigns' Last Man Standing Match in 2015's Extreme Rules. Sure Roman was just jeered all year round but every body I know who was watching actually really had fun with the match. Roman didn't feel so bland to watch as he's trying use everything in his power and rach to bring down Show and we actually got some comedy in between(Show on the top rope and the moment Show reads JBL's notepad while clearing the table). Though not an immortal match by any means, it was surprisingly good and warmed me and I can safely say some others to Reigns as a performer. It only helped RR that he got to face AJ a year later.
I agree with the lixt. For why Brock lost, I assume it has Vince thinking thjat, "He's gotta eat crow for leaving me pal!" Basically, for petty reasons
the whole point of Brock Lesnar vs John Cena is to have Cena get a win after losing to the Rock not having another PPV lost at the next PPV, it's a reverse The Rock vs Goldberg, where Rock defeated Steve Austin, then Goldberg defeated The Rock at Payback

To this day I maintain that 2012 extreme rules Cena vs. Brock was expertly booked given the circumstances. As a younger WWE fan, 2016 was the best year in the era since I started watching, That Extreme Rules PPV ruled.

No it's not perfect Cena wining ruined the match and ruined Brock's return
I dunno about you guys, but I genuinely like Big Show vs Roman Reigns' Last Man Standing Match in 2015's Extreme Rules. Sure Roman was just jeered all year round but every body I know who was watching actually really had fun with the match. Roman didn't feel so bland to watch as he's trying use everything in his power and rach to bring down Show and we actually got some comedy in between(Show on the top rope and the moment Show reads JBL's notepad while clearing the table). Though not an immortal match by any means, it was surprisingly good and warmed me and I can safely say some others to Reigns as a performer. It only helped RR that he got to face AJ a year later.

the whole point of Brock Lesnar vs John Cena is to have Cena get a win after losing to the Rock not having another PPV lost at the next PPV, it's a reverse The Rock vs Goldberg, where Rock defeated Steve Austin, then Goldberg defeated The Rock at Payback
Kid you do realize that Cena lost to john laurinaitis at the next ppv and then lost at SummerSlam too so why did they make him win this match at the first place
Adam openly insults Alberto Del Rio (with good reason) but he has worked with the guy in the past.
To this day I maintain that 2012 extreme rules Cena vs. Brock was expertly booked given the circumstances. You can’t have the face you committed to the last decade undercut by two returning stars that left and made you pick Cena as the guy back to back. You can’t tell your audience the last decade means F all. It’s not fair to Cena or all the talent that helped make Cena.
