I remember the first job i delivered in iceland and i just fell in love with this game all over again. promods have done incredible work. you should do a video on all the scenic routes you can take 🙂
And I think there are more differencies then it looks first. For example we can drive in the cities in ATS while in ETS2 we can drive in the industrial districts only. Diving the american trucks is different because we sit between the front and rear wheels while in european trucks above the front wheels. And consider the slightly different traffic rules as well. Note: maybe it is just a feeling by me but in ATS the trucks accelerate slower and the routes are longer somehow, I mean in ETS2 the map, the distances are shorter on the road so you just realized you have reached the next city too soon and the trucks accelerate like a car. As I said it is just a feeling and maybe I am wrong. After all of these I prefer ATS more to play. I think the graphics is better a little considering the shiny crhrome surfaces and paints on the american trucks. Safe driving out there!

If jou would like to have the hardest challenge, just install mod "Hardh russia". This mod is very old and popular. Sometimes you should drive without GPS, sometimes - across the river or by wooden bridge. Heavy cargos (61 tonns), unreal hills and big prices should make this game unreal!
Best thing for interior is either VR if you can stand the motion sickness or a head or eye tracker; TrackIR 5 is the one I use and couldn't play without it now.
@PC_Modder that's true. But I've had mine for 12 years or more when I did a lot of Lockon Flaming Cliffs before DCS Black Shark and DCS A10 came out originally.
The only problem with TrackIR5 at least for me is the inconsistency of the software. I always have to delete my profile before launching the app, otherwise it will crash and have to force restart my pc
*My tipp is to use longer trailer combinations such as HCTs or Triples.* Driving my triple down the death road in TruckersMP before they closed it for doubles and triples was some next level shit where I could use all my experience to get to the destination without blocking anyone.
Try the EAA map (South American Map). You will find some diference experiences, driving on night in some roads/cemeteries or try go from Manaus to Porto Velho, this Iceland river will be nothing after this trip.
One more thing for low end pcs: start the game with OpenGL. I have 15-30, mostly 25 fps with DirectX and 20-30, mostly 30 with OpenGL. If you get some graphical glitches like black textures, mirrors with only one reflection color… change it back to DirectX so you don’t get that glitches (these glitches won’t happen if you play without mods)
For exploring Iceland’s hidden roads and Easter eggs, I would get a mod car/truck to do so. I use a Benz X Class. Same for the hidden stuff on Spitsbergen/Svalbard.
@@vutomy Logitech G920 but withou a shifter, this one is great and you can simply mount it on your desk, i do not want to miss it. it´s a great experience, specially if you where used to mouse and keyboard only... it only feels a bit odd at the beginning, but you get into it quite quickly.
at the end of the day it just depends on the gamer i have currently 993 hours in ATS and 217.9 hours in ETS2 i use no traffic mods for both and only drive Front Bumper View #6 on keyboard while in game i change truck brands every 20k miles i like to rotate between both games playing a few hours here and there drive a couple loads now and then ill use cab mode view but only for like 2-3 minutes before i get annoyed by the view not gonna spend on a wheel style of play as a old race style gamer i just plug in my PS Controller to my PC and use a DS4 Windows program cause i dont like xbox controllers long live play station to each gamer out there just find what play style u like to use to most be it your own means or how this video is no choice is wrong at the end its just about enjoying the game in how you see fit to play it

As a Filipino ETS2 gamer, we are much more enjoyable with Japanese semi-trucks & semi-trailers since we have been grown with these types of trucks ever since particularly the used ones. Not really with those fancy European trucks that we don't often see on our roads.
You don't need a mod for the smooth camera. You can either bind to look left/right or look left/right slowly exactly as this mod does, comfortably with buttons on your wheel.
I have the buttons on my Thrustmaster wheel programmed for all manner of things, plus I use a Stream Deck from El Gatorade. Beats peering at the keyboard in a darkened room!
I like to use american trucks mod in ETS! The same with ATS use European trucks. With the truck also in traffic! So you have anothe option to play. This is amazing game. I love it everyday.

Playing the game in vr with the Pico 4, great immersion, graphically not quite as good as pancake mode but still very good. On level 15 at the mo, want to get to level 20 to buy the MAN TG3 TGX.
@@Eierkneifer69 when playing in VR I use a racing wheel and gear shifter for the most part once driving. As the VR headset doesn't fit snugly over my nose I can peek through and see the keyboard or just push the buttons by feel as its only really the spacebar or the F keys I use. Muscle memory.

To me pedals and shifter are a must, especially with manual shifting. Doesn't get any more realistic.

What i afraid using map combo if after that long delivery the map bug causing constant crash and you cant unload and finish the delivery or the destination company bugger cant be reach or no unload icon to finish delivery
