+1, thanks for saying it. Its really hard to get people to understand plinking beginners for fun is the surest way of keeping them away and preventing the growth of the community.
My question may have been a little misleading. I completely agree on helping the new guys out and not going full out on them. Giving them something to shoot at is a good idea. So what if I go out a few times early if it makes someone else's day.
Thank you very much for that comment about newer players or rentals. When I first started out, no one helped me. It wasn't until I joined my friends in a team that I understood how really players act and how to treat others in the game. It's all about respect and having fun!
Been reffing for a few years at a recball field in ohio, thanks for the advice to make sure people are having fun. I've been seeing the results as many of the people I have reffed for their first time keep coming back either just casually still renting or even buying their own equipment.
my setup cost me $260, I run a spire 260, invert mini, and a ninja 45/90. awesome setup for the money and I play back. and honestly it holds its own. I never had a problem with my mini, and even before my spire I had a halo too which worked great. keep up the videos and I hope anyone who is thinking about entering the sport or are "newbs" realize we are all out there to have fun.
The prices are much better in paintball now. With not a lot of money you can now keep up with the big spenders, it was much hard back in the day. Agree with helping new players have fun, it is so important.
+Kerry M I'm pretty new and was really surprised when I figured out that the 12 year old Dye Matrix I bought used cost 1500$ on release, and now you can get something better for about 400$
Brad there's no other paintball channel like Paintball Ruined My Life, really appreciate all the info and how you actually do your best to interact with your subscribers! Keep up the good work man! #respect
Tips for beginners from a new/returning player. Get the setup YOU want and can afford. And just go play. Don't overthink it. I just played today for the first time since 2005 when I was a kid. I picked up an m2 and gear that fit right and went out there. First game I got wrecked. Then as the day went on I got better, got a few bunkers and just got aggressive with it. Met some cool people and one guy I played snake with all afternoon. I work some overtime each pay period that pays for my paint so i can focus on playing and less on money.
Salvatore Culotta I’m 34 just getting back in it but this virus is threatening to take it away again I’ve overcame drugs to get get back to paintball and now a virus is trying to take it lol sigh
And I'm old guy playing paintball now. Was playing paintball when Angel A1 came out. Now little kids go like. What kind of gun is that? I feel old now. Are used to ask that question when I was a kid.
with rentals i like to play with about half a hopper and not use pods, try to hit em with only one well placed shot and do like you said look and hide then look some more to give em a chance to put me in a difficult situation to make it fun for them and me.
I play with a Cronus and I can make a case of paint last at least 2 full days. Despite having a fair amount of pods and a decently sized hopper, I'm not very heavy on the trigger.
its so sad to see airsoft is taking over.. i tried playing airsoft and tried to like it for the cheap side of it but like they say you get what you pay for and yes paintball is more expensive but its way more fun
not the many people like pump but when u know how to use it. It can be very deadly. I love using pump because u got to be smart to not get shot and playing agaist semi but its fun though
Usually I give advice to new players like "Be Aggressive, get a good angle, have fun, communicate " etc. And they take it well and enjoy playing. Also you could try running a mech gun or limit your pods? Just some ideas.
I am 40 and played one year so far. Am I old? No I am a noob :) Ten years swished by so fast I still feel as young as you are. Age is relative dont hang up on it.
#PBQT I've never tried going pump but I'm looking to buy a new gun and am not sure if I should buy an empire sniper. What are the benefits of playing pump other than spending less money on paint?
Man I gotta donate to your stream since you pronounced my name correct lol. Thanks for the advice. I'm afraid I'm just gonna have to go get my butt kicked. Thanks for the help
Could you explain a bit more on the levels for tournament. I know that there is diffrent divisions which are D1, D2, D3, and D4 but are there any lower levels? If so could you maybe explain?
#PBQT So is it better to overbore or underbore what's the difference what are the benefits of each is one better than the other....what a good price on a used KP3
What pants do you use right now? I have thrashers but they're a little too big and really baggy. I like how the HK freelines look because of how slim they are but looking for other options too. Any thoughts?
I have the GI Glide pants, might be testing out the Vintage Paintball AIR pants soon though. I'm happy with my glide pants. I do like they way the HK pants fit, but they are not most durable.
No one plays paintball because all the speedball/ramping nonsense. Too expensive, too dirty, too much paint, too much work, not enough PLAY. Your comments about beginners having fun is 10000000000000% right!!! Keeping players is VITAL to this sport.
Werd!

Played once, buys $400 gun
My question may have been a little misleading. I completely agree on helping the new guys out and not going full out on them. Giving them something to shoot at is a good idea. So what if I go out a few times early if it makes someone else's day.
That's the right attitude! There are a lot of people out there that unfortunately don't have that same outlook.
Thank you very much for that comment about newer players or rentals. When I first started out, no one helped me. It wasn't until I joined my friends in a team that I understood how really players act and how to treat others in the game. It's all about respect and having fun!

Right newer players don't realize how much cheaper it actually is!

Not completely true. Literally the only thing that needs to drop is price of paint. SIMPLE.

Thanks. I try, thank you for noticing! Doing another livestream tonight at 7:30 pst if you want to come by

I had to chuckle at the 32 year old getting back in. I'm 44, haven't played in 15 years and getting ready to start playing again with my daughter. :)
Salvatore Culotta I’m 34 just getting back in it but this virus is threatening to take it away again I’ve overcame drugs to get get back to paintball and now a virus is trying to take it lol sigh

I know how it feels :) Just tell them it is a secret prototype and they can't tell anyone they saw it.
I remember the angel. My buddy was pro and had one with a halo b hopper and it was nuts at the time
Shoot, I remember Angels. Never owned one but it was the high end everyone drooled over.
Haha...i started out with a brass eagle talon....
That analogy at 6:57 is great 😂😂😂
#pbqt or maybe an episode? could you explain the name of the different bunkers in speedball? Doritos, snake, etc. ?
with rentals i like to play with about half a hopper and not use pods, try to hit em with only one well placed shot and do like you said look and hide then look some more to give em a chance to put me in a difficult situation to make it fun for them and me.
I love this format... Great advise, keep em coming. Greets from Aruba
Thanks!
Cool dude for thinking about beginners & kids like that.
once you go pump you never go back! :-)
Doesn't rhyme though...
went from a empire axe, bought a pmi traccer played with it once returned it to my pro shop then bout a used etek
Full head asteam! Yea, gotta use that one! I love your commentary on encouraging new players. That's a big deal.
I play with a Cronus and I can make a case of paint last at least 2 full days. Despite having a fair amount of pods and a decently sized hopper, I'm not very heavy on the trigger.
Werd, it not like you HAVE to shoot a lot.
+king trow
A case every two days for one person seems pretty normal, I shoot at about that rate too
its so sad to see airsoft is taking over.. i tried playing airsoft and tried to like it for the cheap side of it but like they say you get what you pay for and yes paintball is more expensive but its way more fun
lol you pronounced my name perfectly dude
Hahahahah! Not destroy the rentals :) It's so hard not to, but i agree.
not the many people like pump but when u know how to use it. It can be very deadly. I love using pump because u got to be smart to not get shot and playing agaist semi but its fun though

I always start the day playing pump
Craig Catimon i just play pump only now but i keep my etek 1 for friends who come wit me
I am 40 and played one year so far. Am I old? No I am a noob :) Ten years swished by so fast I still feel as young as you are. Age is relative dont hang up on it.
Well I'm 33, we aren't that far apart in age :) Age is an illusion. I keep telling that to my hairline though, and it won't listen. 😆
im 20 and having the same hairline arguement lmao
Started playing at 42, turning 60 next month and still enjoy playing 3-4 times a month!
Great to know the ages here I'm 28 and looking into getting into this to be more active and to do something fun
Got all ya beat I'm 49 and been playing since 1989
#PBQT I've never tried going pump but I'm looking to buy a new gun and am not sure if I should buy an empire sniper. What are the benefits of playing pump other than spending less money on paint?
Thomas Masseria overall you gain a lot more skills while play pump compared to electro or even semi
Man I gotta donate to your stream since you pronounced my name correct lol. Thanks for the advice. I'm afraid I'm just gonna have to go get my butt kicked. Thanks for the help
My 11 year old is geting back in to paintball. It's been 14 years or so. I am 42.
E Flex or JT retro flex...is there a difference? I wanna buy one but not sure which
this dude sold me a gun at his shop. 10/10
Staring out like everything is expensive..I was 4 guns deep at one point. Down to 2 but I want a pump now.
Kevin B has played against a guy who had a pump and now I want one lol it out did my e grip
Could you explain a bit more on the levels for tournament. I know that there is diffrent divisions which are D1, D2, D3, and D4 but are there any lower levels? If so could you maybe explain?
Yep! Will try to work this into the next video
Have you ever entered a tournament at capital edge? And if so is it worth the money. And if not do you think it is worth the investment?
I have, and yeah the CEPL events are always a great time. I'm not sure I would look at it as an investment, maybe an investment it fun!
#PBQT so I've got the Axe Pro great marker, but! I've been debating getting a Luxe 2.0, is that price tag worth it though. Thoughts?
Paintball Ruined My Life I finally got my stickers thanks
Good!
#PBQT So is it better to overbore or underbore what's the difference what are the benefits of each is one better than the other....what a good price on a used KP3
Did a video on that just recently :) ruclips.net/video/ZmHlh0hP3Fw/видео.html
KP3 probably around $170ish
Paintball Ruined My Life. Awsome thanks should picking one up for 150 gonna be it shooting tomorrow
I'm 14 about to be 15 what's the best way to make a team or play tournaments? I'm still using an old Spyder imagine btw!
Great videos man!
I'm looking to spend about $300 on a marker, I want something decent, I play speedsoft but I'd like to play speedball too
Mini GS for sure.
Just asking is it better to use my dm12 at games (woodsball) but I run out of paint or use my gog enemy and not run out but be at a disadvantage
#pbqt Why does Trevor Resar plays with a golf glove on just his left hand?
What pants do you use right now? I have thrashers but they're a little too big and really baggy. I like how the HK freelines look because of how slim they are but looking for other options too. Any thoughts?
I have the GI Glide pants, might be testing out the Vintage Paintball AIR pants soon though. I'm happy with my glide pants. I do like they way the HK pants fit, but they are not most durable.
#pbqt does being a professional make money? and can playing pro can be a full time job?
couple weeks ago you said send video questions where do we send them if I don't have Facebook
Really I would like email the best, would just be the easiest way to download video. info at paintballruinedmylife.com .
Do you think 3D printing will impact paintball in terms of markers and loaders? #PBQT
!! Good one !!
#PBQT what's better a Luxe 2.0 OLED or a CSR?
I live in missouri and I can't find a league to join. I am 11 and me and my brother are really into paintball but he is 22, so we couldnt do 2 man.
You can do the NXL 2v2 events
If you live near Straford we play out there. Join our group Relentless on FB
or magfed. Carrying 7 T15 mags is only 140rnds on you’re person. So yeah
and nowadays you don't have to pay $3 per refill on your Co2...everytime
6:09
trust me, i tried that and never works, 99% of the time they fuck up or they stay where they want
This is a serious question. How did paintball ruined your life though?
Ohhh it didnt, more of a joke. Maybe...I'm still not sure
Radical bearded Bicyclists makes me go broke at the end of every week getting gear and buying paint😂
Full head of steam!
lol pump is only cheaper on air n paint other then that the gun cost way more than a tippman
Man that question about not steamrolling beginners is quite cocky, pardon my language but when people ask or comment things like that it gets annoying
cant shoot with a pump tbh
How do I not steamroll new players? uhhh dont steamroll them. Easy
No one plays paintball because all the speedball/ramping nonsense. Too expensive, too dirty, too much paint, too much work, not enough PLAY. If paintball culture was pump-gun based way more people would play. There just arent enough places to play paintball, if you find one you're just going to get hosed by some 10 bps tryhard, all while paying out the A$$.
The "sport" has a long way to go, or maybe needs to get back to its roots...speedball is boring and has been boring for a long time now.
most fields Ive seen have a 10 bps cap and only allow semi auto on electros (with the exception of speedball tournaments)
