  • In 1937, a small group of visionaries and community leaders set out to save North America's waterfowl populations while celebrating the continent's strong waterfowling heritage. Stressing the critical role wetlands play across North America, Ducks Unlimited committed to this mission at the height of the Great Depression and one of the worst droughts in history.
Our work has led to the conservation of more than 18 million acres and counting, thanks to tireless support from generations of members, volunteers, and partners who are part of the mission to conserve and restore wetlands and other vital habitats for North America's waterfowl, other wildlife, and people.
Enjoy this short film from the archives that tells our story. Here's to conservation for our continent and for generations to come.

Glorious. This is why I am proud to be a Bronze supporter. After my hunting buddy and I bagged our limit, we would just spend some time hanging watching the beautiful ducks still fly in and listen to the racoons wrestling in the mangroves. And we would go home, I would clean my ducks. And have dinner.

First comment. Still more important than ever to conserve wetlands. Thank you DU

Ducks are in as much a perilous situation as they were in the 30’s. Massive drought has gripped the PPR right now. Right now more potholes are being tiled up to never to have their water returned to them. Right now we are losing precious CRP land everywhere. We need to give to DU as much now as ever.
