Thank you! I’ve played guitar for fifty years but recently bought my first squareneck. First time I changed strings I begun by removing all the old ones. And the bridge fell apart…and I thought: what a crappy guitar 🙂

whats the best gauge to use? Will regular acoustic guitar strings work?

I didn't see how you got it out of the bottom, just how you put it back in. Could you explain, please? I'm restringing my grandfather's guitar, so it's very old (pre 1935) and I'm very nervous. I've never strung a guitar.
