Hey guys, we are back overturing! I wanted to explain a few things at the end of the video, but let's be real, nobody gets to that, so i better explain them here. I had to cut out almost ALL gameplay parts because missions are extemely long (almost 25 minutes each and also... quite hard) so this 10 minutes are the destilations of almost 3 hours of recording. Is for that that i want you to understand why it takes me so long to upload Overture thingies; it requires a lot of time and i'm still quite short in that. Well, with that said just sit back, chug some health potions (G) and enjoy!
everyone is now saying about "daisukes vision this" and "daisukes vision that" but people forget that this was daisukes original vision for guilty geae
Lots of the concepts of this game has remained until this day, like Sin's R.T.L, and also, is susprisingly canon (i mean, way more than one might think)
You can definitely tell from the voice-over that this game is a 2000s video game because it has all the usual 2000s video game staple voice actors who were practically in everything (especially in all the games) back in those days. Troy Baker, Yuri Lowenthal, Dave Wittenberg, and Liam O'Brien, all in one. This isn't really their best work of their careers and all four have definitely had better work out there (even at the time with Persona 3+4 being done around the same time and at the same studio and actually being among their best work even now) but it's definitely kinda funny hearing them here all together, and the performances from them are still pretty fun to listen to, they still do pretty great being among the greats of the biz.
Really cool they got Liam back as Johnny in Strive. I hope if Izuna gets in as DLC they bring back Wittenberg too, especially since Strive's dub has a bigger budget compared to past ArcSys dubs.
Just had this experience, while I was not wasted I *was* completely out of my mind at 11 pm and was like "hey I recently bought this console, might as well actually play it"
I got horrible flashbacks on minute 3 The valentine mobs are PEAK DESIGN and i love them! Best Scene in the entire game incoming, when they let you play Ky (i cant belive it neither)
They made Valentine and her squad (mainly) gothic chicks knowing damn well they are my weakness so it will be harder for me to beat the game. How. Clever. Also, playing with Kyle Kisken sounds good, but what about the GOAT Izuna? Every second i'm not playing with him feels like an eternity
Honestly, the only major issue I have with GG2 Overture is the length of the levels!!! 30 minutes is a medium length of one level... Everything else is simply interesting and breathtaking experiment, at least for me.
I think this is a good example of how the game was designed with the japanese market in mind. Long and complocated levels in wich move must be pondered about. But i gotta say that if i had more time i will surely enjoy them way more. Also, the story is surprisingly interesring (and canon) so after a long and tough mission the cutscenes even feel like rewards
I do not understand why anyone would wish Troy Baker kept voicing Sol. His line delivery is so flat and doesn't have enough grit to it. It sounds less like Sol is bored and more like Baker is. Man's got talent but he did NOT do a good job here. I didn't expect Yuri Lowenthal as Sin to work (the characters I know him for are very different from the flag boy), but he actually does an okay job. I'm glad that he got to come back and voice another character as he did a fantastic job with Bedman. And, Michael McConnohie as Paradigm is obviously great.
For an spinoff and an early Xbox360 game i find the dub quite good, obviously not at the level of Xrd, with some exceptions (Izuna my beloved), but still pretty good. I don't know if making Sol sound like if he would rather be fishing was a style design tho
Probably because the voice itself fits Sol and Troy has proven he can voice anti-heroes like Sol well. He'd definitely do a better job if he somehow got to reprise the role now. Also factoring that David Forseth's first outing as Sol in Xrd was also...not that great, but improved in Strive.
It’s so weird hearing Sol call Dizzy “Maiden of the Grove”. Characters like Dr. Paradigm I can understand but I don’t see Sol calling her by some nickname though again, i completely understand the reason (copyright) but still, it is odd.
I gotta say, I love Liam O’Brien (like, so much. I’m pretty sure I can credit that man with at least partially responsible for my gay awakening as a preteen), but he just doesn’t fit Ky very well. Same with Sam Riegel in XRD Sign. Glad they eventually landed on Sean Chiplock for him, he has a fervency to his performance that past performers didn’t, I think.
does anyone know if there will be more games like this? i have to get a cord for my 360 but havent done so yet just bc i wanna make sure but i miss this game so much!

hearing bedmans voice come out of sin is really weird
Back when Sin was kinda smart, it makes sesnse
So Bedman is Sin child
@@espernova228dude Bedman is older than Sin by at least 13 years

Is kinda weird, yeah. It also overcomplicates things a bit due to the entirety of Overture is canon
I have to check out for this game!!!
I need to see more about the story!!!
I'd like to make overture videos more ofter, but the shortest mission lasts like 20 minutes
In all my 3 days and 7 minutes on this earth i have never seen anything more magnificent than the 2$ the expended for overture
2? Wow, chill. That's the quituple of kts price
fair enough
I need Daisuke to make Drift Drift Revolution - Guilty Heroes based on that one segment
That sad feeling when you find the first and second part of these videos out of nowhere and the final one is missing :(
It will come, but matches in this game are just way too long, I have no time
