Both my teams said it isn’t happening on this side but I heard this was happening to different areas. Thanks for confirming and I agree that is not a good move. Service with Infiniti according to corporate has a different standard. A customer isn’t supposed to wait for service, offer loaners and valet service. Nissan has these too but only if it’s over so many hours so an oil change normally you will have to wait but not with Infiniti.
@@HawkeyeRides It'll be interesting as the Honda / Nissan merger goes its course. Will Infiniti survive or at very least be combined with Acura dealers. General consensus among the auto news sites is Infiniti will not survive so resources can be directed at Acura in the luxury arena.
Great review Anthony. Honestly I had forgotten about the Murano and have not seen one in a while. They did a great job with this and I think it looks so great. I wonder why the MPGs are kind of low since most cars with CVTs generally get great mileage. The interior is great too and I learned a new term when you used haptic! I've seen controls like that before but never knew the term lol. 79 here and still super dry but the wind warning is supposed to go away tonight thanks God. You had your sweater on so it must have been a chilly day which is awesome! I was just a bit curious and started looking at cars the other night. I really love big sedans and the way the G90 looks but no plans to change cars. If and when I do I will be for sure asking your opinion! Hope all is well and happy Wednesday Anthony
That you James. Nissan did an awesome job and this year we have a lot to look forward to! I wish in some models they did the refresh sooner but they are all almost here. The change of engine doesn’t help too much with mpg which is why I wish they keep the v6 as finally we get a real transmission. It was cold and today was the same. 54.2 with the high 30s tonight. I can’t complain we need the change which it’s makes the coffee taste a little better lol. My family in Europe was asking about your side today and I was filling them in. I’m glade the wind is going away hopefully more moisture will come. I like big sedans too but no one in my family does. Maybe one day I’ll get a large Audi but for now I’ll keep the suv and sport car segment alive. That’s awesome I’m glade I was able to explain the haptic feature. I have had them a in couple reviews now and thought let me explain it and try to show it. Definitely I will help with all the information James. Happy Wednesday James
I like the fact that it has a rear bench and nice cargo area for a few suit cases.Dont like the push button drive . It was either the CX70 or the Murano Platinum. Way too many problems with the Mazda .
It’s all good Jeffrey. It was busy I had my daughter reading the questions. We stayed on for almost an hour and a half. Yeah definitely join in we all had a blast
I would definitely take off that 1750 whell option and also maybe that other 500 dollar option of nothings to bring the price with destination down to about 42k.
I told the team the same. Why drop the cvt to add the vc turbo? The new Murano has everything it needs. The good thing is it Nissan has been fixing the L link to prevent damage like some of the first gen’s.
@HawkeyeRides yeah just being a mechanic for 25 years of my life I know that a turbocharged a four cylinder does not last long at all. My 2015 Murano still has the V6 and I love it. Now if I can find a way to get this new transmission behind that CVT on the 2015 I'd be a happy camper.
The mpg for the v6 was 21/28 at 1 point but i think its 20/27 now so this get 21/27 which is the same but i wonder in the real world will it be vetter if you drive it easier. Odd that the mpg of changing the v6 altima vs the vc turbo was about 3mpg combined but in this its the same mpg. Hmm...
It’s because of the compression ratio. At stop and go it cycles more where the hwy it maintains a lower ratio. The idea behind this is a few miles better to attract consumers without a hybrid.
@@occckid123 it’s hard because this engine is very complex. If it wasn’t so much to replace or repair then I’m all for it because by fair Nissan did an awesome job.
@HawkeyeRides it's def not hard to replace. You could just get a junked engine and replace it if need be for not alot of money but I haven't seen mayn 2.0 vc turbos needing replacement. You had a qx50. What's your experience. My vc turbo has been on the road for 5 years now with no issues and there's another guy almost 100k no 2.0 turbo issues I'm his altima.
@occckid123 I have the qx60 but I have had the qx50 for months at times and they drive awesome. The first gen 19 models to about 22/23 models they had problems with metal pieces and shavings in their oil pans. Nissan has made improvements with most corrections aimed at preventing damage to the main bearing and L-link, which is the common problem so that is why I’m waiting to see how it pans out. I never had any cvt problem with any of my 3 Infinitis and the last one we had over 175k on it. I would pick one up pre owned with low miles so I can make sure the maintenance is done correctly as this is amazing vehicle
Dealers near me have combined Nissan with Infiniti which is really sad.

Nice-looking new style Murano, but the 4-cylinder turbo for this SUV seems like the Nissan engineering design team can't think straight.

In a turbocharged four-cylinder is just going to cut that life of the engine in half.
