Hello, Sir! I wish you could do something about naturally curly/wavy hair for women over 60. My natural color is a lovely silvery pepper, but I look like a puffball. I've worn it short, like a pixie, and asymmetrical bob, and now I'm growing it out to shoulder length to try do something else. In my 40's, I wore it just below my shoulders and styled it in a chignon. I can't find a stylist who knows how to handle my hair. I have to say repeatedly "NO thinning! no thinning shears!" Blunt cuts keep the curls together. And, yes, I've mostly cut my own hair for 35 years because of this. Expensive shears and multiple mirrors. I can cut by feel now. Please, any help?

It worries me this young generation that can't even dye their hair with a box dye ... Most people did it with their age and without having all the info we have now online. We simply read the instructions in the package. They tell you time, application, color of natural hair, and degree of coverage. They do not read books, but can they read instructions?
First girl- I mean it's not what she wanted, but it's not hideous. The hair is still healthy and the purple will wash out over time. If I was her, I would have waited until it washes out more and then do a shadowroot in her normal haircolor. Still savable and hairstructure is still pretty :)
Just get a nice attachment for the clipper and give yourself a 10 all over. Will it be the highest fashion? No. Will it look terrible? Also no. Will you have enough legnth for someone else to come fix it up? YES.
I've dyed my Moms Hair yesterday. I did it for years and used a lot of product over the years. Yesterday I did - thanks to you! - much finer sections and didnt had to use as much product :). AND it looked great!

I never lathered in bleach like it was shampoo and even I knew to over saturate the hair so as to not miss any sections.i don't understand this
