I SO agree with rather distracting from ugly features of your rental rather than peel and sticking everything everywhere - my current student dorm came with this pretty bad early 2000s wood/grayish furniture and I spent quite a sum on peel and stick when I first moved in. I ended up removing all of those “projects” a couple months back because I found that my books, decor and art that I brought into the space already covered a lot and made it so much more personal and bearable. I now rather save my money for stuff of better quality I’d like to get once I move out:)) (And I’m really just lucky to be in student dormitory at all plus my friends are just as randomly housed as I am - they won’t judge my furniture Lol)
I agree totally about buying what you like and not trying to fit the home you are in. No good can come from that. Try living here though with tiny, crappy charity shops that sell cut glass vases (the bad kind), black fake Japanese pottery, banana stands, and battered Jamie Oliver cook books (love youuuu Jamie). It's bleak thrifting here in the wilds of South East London 😂
Absolutely loving your content (working my way through all of it after discovering you through your bathroom makeover video) but please can you keep the images on screen a little longer? I love the design inspo but keep having to rewind to really take it in ! x
i’ve been getting your vids on my recommended for like 2 weeks now and i’m so happy i finally watched them lol you’re so funny and have such great insight! also, i have a miss kitty-cat clock and have yet to see another young person with one haha if your clock is single they can be long distance lovers lolol
@@haleeegreen ngl it is very hit or miss, especially here in Canada where prices are ridiculous with the corp trying to wring money out of literal donations. Buut it's so close by that I don't feel bad walking out empty handed
Hi Halee, I have a cream colored, pottery barn looking armoire from 2008. It's from my mom who passed away in 2012. I don't want to part with it, but I don't love the style of it. Any thoughts on how to incorporate it in my living room? I'm willing to paint it. Thank you!
like you said, painting it, changing hardware out of there is any, adding hardware if there isn’t, and depending on the material it might be possible to sand down and stain! it’s hard for me to say without seeing it and the room that it’s in, so maybe i’ll make a video in the future where everyone can send in photos and i can do my best to help out :) 💌
i live in Madrid and sadly i could tell you 2 things> 1. almost everything second-hand is ugly and bad quality and, 2. vintage pieces are soooo pricey (considering salaries in Spain). so, we're f***ed!🤣🤣🤣
aw! i used to be obsessed with caroline! i for some reason haven’t watched her in a while but imma go catch up now. thank u for the unintentional reminder 😌
@@cookiemonster2630 at first I disagreed but now I kinda hear it…a very mellow gen-z Caroline that stopped being haunted and crazy maybe. Plus you look a bit like her younger sister Julia 😅

You sound and oddly very similar to Caroline Winkler lol
I disagree about her sounding like Caroline, but her way of wording sentences is pretty similar ngl. Love them both
