Great channel, I did subscribe. Your thoughts on Grizzlies are the same that I have thought. I once had recurring dreams years ago, how I would survive a bear attack with only a .38 revolver. The 38 S&W model 64 is what I carried as a Police Officer. Having had shotgun training. I contemplated buying one, just to have the power I witnessed with rifle slugs! Not anywhere near bears (Long Island NY) my dreams never materialized but since then I have always been intrested in "big bore" revolvers and have had and practiced with the S&W 460 & 500 Mag PC revolvers. I also did some readings on handgun hunting by Max Prasac and in my opinion I think you would be better served with loading your 3.5" 500,s with 375gr. Barnes XPB rounds. There is a story about Darrel Harper who killed a grizzly 100yards with 8" S&W 500. In other parts of the book the opinion is the 700 gr. bullets don't stabilize especially from a short barrel. Also great you are doing 10mm video, use to compete in Police PPC with a Glock 20 Now I have a Sig P220 legion DA/SA 5" barrel and feel it is all round perfect. I believe you that the 700 grain bullets probably won't stabilize, but in truth, I only plant to shoot those pistols if a bear is less than 10 feet from me. I also appreciate the suggestion about loading 375 grain Barnes XPB rounds... as it turns out, I have already loaded around 500 of those, so they are available to me if I choose to use them. I feel like that energy that is imparted by the 700 grain cartridges would serve me will if I had to shoot a bear at close range. Anyway, I look forward to more comments from you down the road 🙂

Story time! (This crazy guy who wants to encounter grizzlies is my brother.) When we were younger, we were on a family trip & we camped every night. "Cult of Arms" literally prayed that a grizzly would come into our campsite at night. My sister prayed (& probably our Mom, too!) that a bear would NOT come to visit in the night! 🙏🏼 I am so grateful that God listened to the more sane prayers! 😆 Sorry bro, but "some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers." 😉 Also, have you looked into possible consequences for killing a bear in Glacier National Park? Do they even allow firearms? I'll be praying for your safety! 🙏🏼💚
Ya, I never ever put lights on my pistols. It is against my religion and everything that I am. The only value that gun lights provide is an income for those who make and sell them. They are just a fad for tactical wantabees 🙂 Yes, I am trolling you 🙂

They allow firearms, but the only time you can shoot a firearm in a national park is in defense of life.
