Was shocked yesterday about the price action in MELI and was looking for explanations. So I found your channel. Great work of yours - helped me a lot and will add to my position. Greeting from Switzerland.
First time in your channel. I liked the way the info was broken down and explained, good level of details and explaining what is behind the jargon. New sub!
Thank you so much - I’m exited like you are. But your explanations bring clearness to my thoughts: again this could be a good point to add because MELI is investing in its moat. And it‘s already the second largest position in my portfolio 😂
It's a buy, they invested in the business that is why we got a smaller margin, but those investissement are done to improve the business in the long run!!
For the Forward P/E and Forward Price to Free Cashflow, you mentioned, "I'm not sure if this is the best metric to use". It would be good to briefly say why.

He means that it is a company he invest heavily in growth at the moment and that cost. Amazon had non-existent PE for a long time before showing profits on paper. And they did well.
I used to work for a credit card company. I wonder if they are getting too low a quality portfolio for credit card that leads to growth but too high credit losses?
Important. I live in dollars and my other choices for investment have returns in dollars. So returns on dollars are what matters to me. Returns in other currencies are swimming against a current.
I wonder when it was the last time you looked happy in the thumbnail. Does this mean Warren Buffet was right that we should not pick stocks and instead buy the index?
Insider tip -- people want videos more often when a stock is down. That seems to be where we provide the most value -- telling people what's going on. When the stock is up, they more often go about their day. FWIW, I'm up ~24% this year (market matching), so the portfolio is fine :)
Fabulous analysis and the level of details. I always look to this channel for MELI earnings analysis. Thanks for doing this Brian!

Awesome video thanks
Not a fan of you calling this Amazon, they don’t have aws, Amazon’s biggest business. Still really enjoy your videos as always.
I do not understand how it is possible that their FCF margin is so high even taking into account the provisioning.

Just bought the stock! Was waiting for a down turn
Great video!!

Yeah but forward projections are often using EBITDA which accounts for that.
do you believe selling Atlassian was a mistake?

Mercado caída libre. My emphasis is currently on U.S. small-cap growth stocks.
