    after you do the relearn, did u use your obd2 scan tool to clear the code and then see if the code comes back?

      Yes, I did that. The error remains, and I was not able to remove it.

    Mechanical timing must be locked perfectly before locking Vanos PHAZER sprockets ALSO...must be in LOCKED position ..IF NOT when YOU snug TENSIONER inch pounds SPEC.RULE...if PHAZER is faulty ITS been KNOWN phazers go BAD...must be in LOCKED position before Torquing Cam Bolts...AND while pinning a Crankshaft..according to SPEC...must be CW only 1st piston ON WAY UP....NOT DOWN..to PIN PROPERLY....then THE CAMs writing on TOP...when Cam Locks wrap THREE FACES of CAM BOLT SURFACE...the ROUND section of NUT must be at BOTTOM...not TOP......as YOU will also see Writing.
    THEN...after checking all Contact wires and connectors to Crankshaft Sensor and Inspec..cam sensors...I pull cam sensor to pin on SIDE EXACT timing marks including marking Crankshaft Pulley for EASY PINNING of Crankshaft AND....viewing whether a slipped timing or stretched CHAIN condition or poor tensioner is OUT of PLAY or spec...if Center punched PIN marks in Camshaft sensor hole HAVE changed or MOVED.
    Seeing is believing.....BE in TIME mechanically FIRST...then Relearn camshaft sensor..by Expensive tool or dealer however..there is a TRIGGER using a test light from sensor to ECU crankshaft lead...unsure exactly BUT...when key and ignition is ON....the test light TRICK is performed ...which of three pins...unsure but supposedly the test light will activate from sensor to connector the ECU will begin a Relearn process...in a no start the permanent codes must be cleared..U114 or U 115...in order to Relearn....anything....so U must take to dealer for reset or reprogram or self laptop program with specific software..Expensive.OR
    THE HOLY GRAIL.
    Key fob in.buttin on TEN SEC each...40 times to reset ECU or...three day.nights Battery disconnect...or add 10 ohm link to disconnected battery leads ONLY positive and Negative to release all capacitance in all modules.
    Unsure if Key FOB must then be reprogrammed or NOT YETT...however leaving FOB in always assures...possibility of maintaining Key FOB.
    So the IDEAL..DIY trick...is Specific for every vehicle BUT......DIY...hopefuls...this is required before stealerships..LIE to US....and FIXX it without Telling us THE
    EXACTING Trick for RESET.RESTARTS.😊..good luck...I'm still on this PATH.
