Thank you for all the useful information. One piece of constructive criticism is that when I watch a cruise review on YT, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, I'm expecting some video or at least some pictures to go with what you're saying. I could never book a cruise just based on what someone said, I like to see it as well. Especially when the reviewer has a criticism, it's important to see what they're referring to, because then I can make a decision between "mmm ok, I can live with that" or "that's a no go for me, walk away". Plus it's just so much more enjoyable to watch a video of something being reviewed, than just watching someone speak 🙂

Sorry to hear about your poor experience. As you said, "lucky it was only for 6 days". The smoking issue alone would have been a huge turnoff for me.

Fantasia was launched in 2008 so it is 16 years old, "not well over 20".

Is this the review after the dry dock 2023 ? Surprised and disappointed to hear the ship smells bad in areas .

@jacintamcmenamin7701 thanks for your comment. We had no problem with the food, and we got a lot of help with the food too. I found the chefs and wait staff accommodating, and that there was always a large selection of food overall.
The passenger turnover at every port only occurs in Mediterranean sailings, not in other regions such as the Caribbean and Alaska and not on other cruise lines. Smoking is still very popular in Europe and curbs are rarely enforced.

An excellent review and mirrors our experience exactly. Very happy to disembark. Loud banging doors all night, smoke and hallway parties at 3am, we got no sleep. Bathroom smell was just horrible the entire 7 days. Very bad experience. Shows were great though, just as you say!

Thank you for this review. We are considering a 7-night Western Mediterranean Cruise on the Fantasia this December. I see from the ship's layout... and your YT room tour... that you had an oversized balcony, next door to an even larger one. While tempting, it seems like something to avoid.
Thanks for the reply. I guess that the ReAl difficulty is that you don't know who your neighbour will be... it was unfortunate that we had a VERY LARGE group of people next to us, whereas if we just had a nice quiet couple, it would have probably been a lot more pleasant.

You need to learn their voyages club tiers before making the video. Not sure where you read or heard about the welcome drink. There is a reception that is held for voyagers club members and you get an invitation to that. All the benefits of every tier is perfectly listed on their website. Only Aurea and Diamond members get priority embarkation and disembarkation

Hello I’m on the ship right now , it’s only one side of deck 14 that is smoking which is outside & one part of the casino , it’s not all over the ship , I’m a non smoker and can hardly smell unless I’m in the casino
