    Rewrite Plus is another version of Rewrite which adds new CGs and additional voices for minor characters, improves the Mappie system, removes the route unlock requirements, and features changes in the script. This video showcases the differences in the Terra ending between the two versions. The first segment begins after Kotarou leaves Akane and ends before he reunites with Kagari. The second segment begins some time after Jasmin's letter and ends right before CANOE starts playing.
    The translation of the non-Plus-exclusive parts is based on Amaterasu Translations's work, with some changes.
    Kotori's pun translation is taken from HorribleSubs's anime subtitles.

      So the Rewrite+ version shows Koutarou, as Pochi, remembering the five heroines and his experiences with them (the five heroine routes' and two continuations for Kotori and Chihaya's routes)?

    I like the Plus ending. Sakuya not showing up does really that he did sacrifice his existence at the end of the Moon route.

    I haven't even finished the original rewrite in these past 7 years since the first time I played it. So, there's no Kotaro's monologue of remembering them in the original ending?

    • @DraconianoIta
      @DraconianoIta  4 года назад +2

      Exactly. In the original ending Pochi has no memories of his past life as Kotarou, although he's still looking for Kagari.
      Cradle's Tale (one of the fandiscs) actually follows the original ending, detailing Pochi's life while he has no memories of the other characters.

      I see. Wait, Cradle's Tale is the epilogue of Rewrite as a whole, right? It takes place after the events of the Terra Route/True Route, after the five heroines revived Koutarou as Pochi. It doesn't take the Rewrite+ version into account?
      So Pochi truly doesn't have memories of his past life as Koutarou, and he doesn't remember the five heroines. All of this from the original ending.

    • @DraconianoIta
      @DraconianoIta  3 года назад

      @@rickynguyen5108 Yes, Cradle's Tale is a short story that's set shortly after the ending of the Terra route. It follows the original Rewrite's ending and it's incompatible with Rewrote+'s, since in Cradle's Tale he has no memories of anyone.

      I see. Pochi doesn't even have memories of Kagari then in Cradle's Tale? Like you said, Pochi has no memories of anyone in Cradle's Tales (which takes place after the ending (the original ending) of the Terra Route).
      That means Rewrite+'s ending isn't compatible with Cradle's Tale since Pochi has no memories of the heroines, even Kagari.

      Yeah. With the original ending, all of their experiences are now gone, and everything they worked towards to get to this timeline of peace has been forgotten by everyone. With this new ending, everyone has forgotten everything except Kotarou, which in a way, is a bit lonely. He has to live this new life with all of his memory kept in secret. I think I prefer the Rewrite Plus ending though. I feel like it makes a lot of sense why he regained his memories, and it also makes it a bit more special. In the original, he went to the moon for no apparent reason, but only to show that he could be able to go there. In Rewrite Plus, he goes there because he remembers Kagari and wants to save that lonely girl. It also makes his intentions seem more realistic, for why he wants thousands of people so he can go out of the solar system to fulfill Kagari's good memories.
      I love sad/bittersweet endings, but the sad/bittersweet ending in Rewrite's original version just didn't feel right. This new version is much better.

      @@circleofsquareteeth3903 I know this is old but I have to disagree with you with what you said about original VN endings. You said MC go to moon for no reason but at the end of credits in original VN, you will see Kagari's smiling face and then there is a single plant on Moon surrounded by MC and these 5 girls. So I think Rewrite Plus and Original's endings are not different.
