    Some more random facts that they didnt include in the guide that i thought of on the top of my head: DK played the role of King Arthur in the Xcalibur musical in 2019 and again this year! He's amazing. Also Seungkwan does A LOT of variety shows so he's really famous in Korea and like the main SVT promoter because he does a lot of shows on his own. The woman with the red hair you saw a lot in this guide is Jaejae from the yt channel MMTG and she's a famous interviewer and also has really good chemistry with Seungkwan so they did a lot of stuff together.
    Vernon is actually not that outgoing and doesn't say a lot, same with Jun and The8 so you usually don't see as much of them in Going Seventeen as Hoshi or DK for example, but everything they do say is always hilarious

  • @vvl7276

    bc you mentioned that svt seems rly playful with each other & asked if it’s the younger ones „against“ the older ones: all 13 of them are genuinely so comfortable with each other that you can catch them forgetting to use honorifics/doing it on purpose without anyone batting an eye at it which is not that common lmao
    like for example when a member is pissed at jeonghan for cheating, you’ll never see him going „jeonghan hyung“ but full on „yoon jeonghan“ even in front of his face which should be seen as rude but they just do not care about it, so you could say that the younger ones get more playful but mostly bc it rly shows when they just . drop the respectfulness 💀

    • @namaszam3101
      @namaszam3101 3 года назад +45

      Yeah! I think they’re very playful with each other, and I would add that they are also aware who is comfortable with certain teasing and who is not. I think Jeonghan talked about this in his weverse interview, about how it’s bc they’ve known each other for so long and had to be considerate of each other. So yeah the playfulness comes from how comfortable they are :))

    • @angietoonz6605
      @angietoonz6605 3 года назад +9

      "which is not very common" idk i see many groups where they dont use honorifis/forget to/dont as a joke. I feel like it's becoming more common in kpop and probably in general. I think groups drop honorifics a lot as they get closer and maybe to even get closer and bring down the barriers a bit. So it's pretty common and i feel like every fandom i'm in says it's not, but cause im in so many, i've noticed all the groups don't use them much and maybe mainly do for more professional places.

    • @winwinsonlylinesinboss
      @winwinsonlylinesinboss 3 года назад +12

      @@angietoonz6605 when they say not common, its more like not a lot of people who speak korean really let a lot of people drop honorifics for them. honorifics doesn't mean you're not close, but to totally drop honorifics means you're so close you don't care. a lot of people dont really like to have people drop honorifics because it is a sign of respect, which is why not a lot of people actually drop honorifics even with kpop groups.

    • @angietoonz6605
      @angietoonz6605 3 года назад +1

      @@winwinsonlylinesinboss I'm aware.... idon't understand what your reply has to do with what i said? I'm saying op said it isn't that common in groups but I said I've actually seen many groups where members drop honorifcs.

    • @boowie9302
      @boowie9302 3 года назад +10

      @@angietoonz6605 this video is not about those groups , the original commenter was speaking specifically on seventeen’s dynamics and what they’ve seen. And I stan many groups and your right lots of groups do drop honorifics like when on shows or making jokes , but you’ll still see them refer to each other using honorifics, however with seventeen and especially when pertaining to maknae line they really just don’t use honorifics 90% of the time, like you’ll Chan refer to seungkwan as seungkwannie instead of seungkwan hyung or mingyu just call wonwoo wonwoo instead of wonwoo hyung, they just don’t use it a lot, in comparison to a group not using it for like “yaja time” which is a game for them to drop the honorifics vs just naturally not using them as a result of how close they are

    Some other facts:
    -Seventeen won the best male performance group at MAMA for 2 years in a row.
    -Seventeen is called the king of synchronization because they got the highest score of synchronization by a computer.
    -Hoshi was voted as the 2nd best dancer by junior idols in kpop industry.
    -Woozi can play more than 4 instruments, and half of seventeen members can play instruments.
    -Seventeen is the king of Japan. (their achievement in Japan music market is prodigious)

    • @stantalentsstancomediansst5712
      @stantalentsstancomediansst5712 3 года назад +17

      So true. Another fun facts:
      Svt already charted on billboard in 2015 for their debut album and that album was the only that longest charted in that year. Svt received many love calls since then but their CEO decided to reject it first bcs they want to build solid fandom in Asia first especially in Korea, their own country. After that, they managed to get huge fandoms in Japan and basically in Asia. They sold out many dome concert in japan such as Tokyo dome and even add more venue bcs of high demand but it got cancelled bcs of covid. Even without proper promotion in western, they managed to sold out their World Tour concert in America including North America and always made Kcon as their own concert lol. Again, this is before they joined the hybe label. So, now they can focus to promote in us more. They also become the sec best selling album in kpop (after bts) last year with Triple Million Seller which they sold out more than 3 millions albums last year even without any US label and japanese label. Their fandom (carats) are growing surely but "quietly" ✨

    i would say definitely continue with going seventeen, i found that watching idol groups that way helps you to familiarize the faces and their personalities. and yes yes more of their music , lyrics videos, dance practices you for sure would not regret it. seventeen has not released a single bad track, the fact that they’re self producing and also choreograph their own dances really had me hooked on them back when i first got into them. other variety programs like knowing bro’s which they’ve been on a few times i also heavily suggest !! i’m so happy that you’re getting into another group 😭✌️

    for 3:10 , seventeen are actually the first idol group to have the nickname self producing idols/group! it was even created for them by the media and the general public of korea, since they have been heavily involved in the direction of the group since pre-debut! even the magazine you had at the beginning was edited and shot by mingyu! with the members picking the outfits and woozi doing the hair styling! literally everything that has been released so far is either heavily influenced or made by them! from concert setlists, concert outfits, special music videos being produced by 2 members (wonwoo and mingyu!) who are the most interested in photography and editing, their going seventeen ideas, how an mv should look like, choreography, and ofc songs, are all by the members of seventeen (and it's not just one or two members that do that, every member has a role in the team so there's no such thing as filler members)! also groups who have members that occasionally write songs or choreograph aren't really self-producing since it's just from time to time or they'd participate in just one or 2 songs, so the only group that's truly self producing is seventeen ! and i say that with confidence because the term itself was created for them

I remember a while ago the only person to get my attention was Jun then Seungkwan and his vocals, then The8 when his solo came out (Those 3 are my bias wreckers now). Then Dino and Wonwoo caught my eye while watching Gose (they are my biases).

    29:45 that was one of the most genius moment of mingyu so, the question is...is the sum of all the members birth year 25.955? mingyu quickly agree because he has a unique way to calculate
    other member trying to add each birth year one by one 1995+1995+1997..that took lots of time
    but mingyu only calculate the minus. assume every member birth year is 2000 x 13 members so you have 26.000 and then calculate the minus, if you were born in 1997 then it's -3
    svt member birth year:
    1995 (3 people) = -15
    1996 (4 people) = -16
    1997 (3 people) = -9
    1998 (2 people) = -4
    1999 (1 people) = -1
    the total is -45 so 26.000 - 45 = 25.955

    IF Seventeen is a pretty good gateway to Seventeen, its like a slower paced Going Seventeen using content that was too limited (space numbers time etc) wise for GoSe.
    -----Pros:
    - Its subbed on youtube
    - The episodes are shorter (between 10mins and 15mins with 1 exception)
    - Not all 13 members are in an episode, max is 8 least is 3.
    - Its really recent (Spring 2020) so its fairly up to date (older shows china line american line and quieter members speak less)
    -----Cons:
    - Some members appear more often (Hoshi Wonwoo & DK appear in 3 of 4 themes) than others (China Line, Jeonghan & Dino appear once)
    - S.Coups was still on hiatus so he doesn't appear at all.
    - Less polished than GoSe.
    It divides down into 4 themes with multiple parts/episodes beneath each
    - theme 1 "IF, Seventeen Looked Back on Seventeen"
    3 episodes or parts/6 members/DK screaming clip from guide is from this theme.
    - theme 2 "What, IF Seventeen Shows a 17% Miracle?"
    4 episodes or parts/3 members
    - theme 3 "What IF Seventeen Play Sports in the Room?"
    4 episodes or parts/8 members divided into 2 hosts & 2 teams of 3/a 9th member has a special appearance
    - theme 4 "Seventeen's The Battle of the Burgers"
    4 episodes or parts/5 members split into 1 judge & 4 contestants.

    This is pretty simplified (ie. not with like tmi and stuff) so its pretty nice for someone who don't wanna get overwhelmed. The show u were talking bout was Hit The Road, it's like a "unfiltered" show recorded during their world tour.
    Also can u react to Heaven (SVT x Nu'est W), and check Nu'est out? They're svt's senior group of the same company (Nu'est W is like a subunit while another member was promoting elsewhere). I'd suggest songs like Inside Out (latest), I'm In Trouble, Bet Bet, Dejavu. They're more vocal eccentric, but their choreo is also nice given that they trained the same place. One of the member Baekho is the group producer, and for Heaven, he composed it with Woozi, partnered with their in-house producer Bumzu!

    I watched this guide for the first time, but (in my personal opinion) it uses a lot of content from'GOING SEVENTEEN' or certain TV shows, which is not a good recommendation for people who have not seen these content and do not understand the event.
    🤔If I were a new fan, I would keep asking like you:'What is he doing?''What is happening?'
    (also give applause to the hardworking CARAT of Editing Guide👏, can write the cause and effect at the bottom or add part of the video of the cause of the event next time💌)
    There have been a lot of CARAT comments. If you want to watch the group variety show 'GOING SEVENTEEN', I suggest you look at the theme:《TTT》 first. 39:16
    This is a 2 days and 1 night trip once a year, and it is CARAT's favorite theme.
    2018 GOING SPIN-OFF EP.21 TTT (MT SVT REALITY) #1-#3
    2019 GOING EP.20 TTT #1-#3 (Camping Ver.)&(ep.24Compilation)
    2020 GOING EP.44 TTT #1-#2 (Hyperrealism Ver.)
    2021 GOING EP.18 Dive into TTT #1-#3 (Water Sports Ver.)
    In addition, the recent broadcast of'in the SOOP', which is about leisure activities in the forest, will end this Tuesday. The free version has 4 episodes, the paid version has 8 episodes + behind the scenes
    Thank you for reacted & SEVENTEEN will be having a 🎉comeback album called “ATTACCA” this October 22🎉

      Yeah, ig it might get a bit confusing. I actually kinda started my dive into svt by watching TTT Camping without meaning to, I think that one's more easy to follow? The boys have free time doing wtv they want, had some sentimental talk & stuff. The rest of the TTT for me feels like it's more about them mainly having fun imo
      Personally, I feel like watching Hit The Road doc. & In the Soop's a pretty good option if you're vv new to them & want to know their personalities & how they work. SVT Club would be nice too imo? After that just go explore their music & other stuff freely ig. Their early stuff like *17 debut project* is a must to watch tho I think & *one fine day* is nice as well
      Alternatively, there's another lengthy & detailed guide: *super long seventeen guide 2020 by caratline* (around 2hrs, split into 4 parts, each around 10mins). That one's pretty good, rly detailed & still has quite a lot of relevant info. I usually rec ppl to check this guide by *odetosvt* if ppl prefer short ones or the *super long guide* if ppl are ok w longer ones & since the movie guide's currently taken down

    21:22 yes it was the most iconic concert so far it's called Seventeen Japan Arena Tour, the stage was a circle and placed in the middle. Seventeen always go big with japan than any countries outside south korea. The sad thing is they planned to do a bigger concert in may 2020 called Japan Dome Tour and one of the place they'll be performing is at the Tokyo Dome which if you don't know only popular artist approved by japan society can perform there and they have to booked the dome from 2 yrs before the show, it got cancelled bcs of covid. The estimated audience for the show in Tokyo Dome was 80k people...crazy.
