- Sewage spilling from blocked drain part 1.
Yes another Saturday morning 5 minute job that ended up being a bit of a mission.
The secret manhole of Narnia was located in the enchanted woods and of course the drains were full of roots.
This is part 1 as there is a bit of remedial works to do.

Thanks Dan 👍👍👍
Well done Tony.👍🇫🇮
Looking forward to part 2 on that one... curious to see the mechanism for getting rid of roots. You are going to have to start paying Roland an appearance fee at this rate. 🙂
Im on that one today
Whoever did that definatly had their cowboy hat and spurs on!
Who the hell did that connection.. just looking at the later footage as well, there is a square to round connector, which the bloke made squre again to jamb in that round rubber whole.. what a ‘clock’ end!
Let's just say they didnt want him back mate
isn't there code against hooking up a roof drain to sewer connection??
Rainwater is taken as surface water and has nothing to do in the sewage system. At least that's how it is here in the Czech Republic.
@@CisticOdpadu usually they don’t want rain water in the sewer because the system would get overloaded very quickly
Very true mate
A lot of houses are combined. The new houses are seperate.
Hello mate yes same here but there are still many houses with combined drains
Saw you lifting that manhole cover and thought ‘watch your back Tony’
Thanks Greg
Good video Tony, hope you get the manhole repair job, that'll keep you busy for awhile. Why is the stormwater hooked to the sewer system. Is that legal or not? We can't do that in America, it puts too much of a burden on the sewage systems.
You know what Dave it is suppised to be seperate but houses of a certain age are combined. All the new houses are seperate.
Interesting video Tony. Half plumber , half detective! Good camera work and appreciate the explanation of the issues. My brothers got brickies back so know its a bummer. Hope you recover soon.
Hi George yes mate its like being a detective trying to work out whats been going on. Thanks for your comment, yes the back sorts itself out once a get a week or two of no digging. Cheers
Looks like ratty's cousin from Australia.
When in doubt! Give it a clout! Hilarious 😅!
You make a better door than you do a window, Tiny.
Next time can we stay by the man hole to see what comes out 😊
I like the way you explain the situations to the customers. Simple and straight forward.
Thank you, I try a d keep it simple mate
Question about the storm water drain. Wouldn’t it have been better to use short screws instead of those long ones ? Wouldn’t leaves eventually get “stuck” on the long screws or r u going to return an fix that storm water drain mess?
Great question that. I think the screws will be the last of their worries if leaves block the pipe with it being around 8ft long but its a fair question about screw length maybe shorter would be better, I have been screwing these things together for 30 years with no problem. Thanks Sandy I will look into it.
I will look forward to the repairs Tony. Always find them interesting 👍👍
Cheers Doug
It's a bit of a quandry, people like to have a nice garden but they can play havoc with the drains. 👍
Yes mate especially clay drains
been a good one to watch Tony, looking forward to part 2 of this
Im on the repair today mate
