Kenneth Ringgold i agree, there is no hoarseness in his voice. I did detect some grief, but that is to be expected considering the occasion and his closeness to the late Superintendent. They were like brothers.
I have known Evg Brown for many years and he will sing till he has no ounce of energy left then sing even longer .. I love his voice and his ministry it is truly unique onto him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He didn't sound hoarse to me. He was just singing in a feigned/hushed voice (voce finta) at the beginning of the song. He didn't sound like he was having trouble with the song until he started "screaming," which even anointed singers can be guilty of at times.
