Are you nuts, Bunga Raya no food haven. Only nostalgic memories. Except for the lorong selling char siew fun daytime, night is the fried oysters.

Let me just share my fair opinions as a Malaccan. 1st stall Lobak is actually known as Hey Piah Seng. He is the 2nd generation selling it n probably the last as his children refused or have no interest in taking over his bisnes . He is rather famous too. Same like the Fatty Popiah. He is also from the 2nd generation . Taste reasonably good with lots of pork lark . Majority from the locals would not buy from him as it is expensive coupled with his attitude towards customers. Another good option n taste good n cheaper too is the Ta Chong Popiah at Jalan Terengkera . They are selling at RM4.50 per piece. My dear friends, Melaka Popiah is still one of the best Popiah ever lah. I already tried at many places n at other states before as i used to travel everywhere. The cassette n CD shop and the Min Chong Ice Pak Poh are actually one of the oldest shops in Bunga Raya. Nothing great about the Mei Sin coffee shop at all n good at slaughtering customers and i don't understand why the tourists prefer to eat there. That shop was only famous for its Chicken rice back in the 80's and 90's. If u wish to eat good fish cake noodles ( Hee Kiow) please go to Restaurant Bee Bee Hiong. The curry char siew , siew yok rice is really nice since back in the old days including the Fried Oyster and Wan tan mee which are only available at night. The beauty of the street is that u can still see many old traditional shops n their unique setup. It is also linked to the Jonker areas by crossing 2 bridges. The 1st bridge is at the main road and n the 2nd small and unique bridge is thru the small lane along the old liquor shop . There are plenty of good local food n street food available in Melaka. Please go n try the Taiwan Noodles, Duck Noodles, Satay Celup , Beh Leh Satay, Chicken rice ball, Mee Rebus Hassan, Mee Rebus Gemuk, Ikan Bakar, Asam Pedas, Mee Bodoh , etcs Peranakan food especially the ayam or babi pomteh, curry laksa, mee siam, cendol, etcs. Don't forget to try the Portuguese delicacies too . U can never get such good food anywhere in Malaysia. Try it to believe it.
