At philly they did mainly discovery
@Taylor Warren pretty sure they did
The crowd gets crazy in Bow Down. Amazing.
Javier Salas my second favorite song by them :) seeing them Saturday
I love that the lights are headbanging at the start of Empires Erased at 5:10
I was playing a show with Whitechapel once at Starland Ballroom in New Jersey and watched from sidestage as they had that exact same type of malfunction from the backing track/click track on their first song of the set and instead of starting over, phil said "FUCK IT, NEXT SONG" and they just went ahead. It was awesome.
BORN OF OSIRIS is absolutely hands down crushingly dam good live !!!!!
I've seen them 9 X's since March 2014
Thanks Mate!. Cheers from DownUnder!
Nice to hear The Takeover live with ok audio. Awesome track!
They should have another guitarist instead of the track
Seems like the direction all of these types of bands are gong in is having one guitarist with playback for all other guitar parts live. Veil Of Maya (they've been a single guitar band for years), After The Burial (Justin Lowe shouldn't and will never be replaced), Within The Ruins, Volumes, Emmure, and a plethora of others. And even though in a few cases there seems to be a good reason for it, I'm not happy with it being the standard now. Live bands now are pretty much 2/3 of an actual live band with playback to fill in. :/
This band was so much more creative when they had the other guitarist Jason however...They actually could use another creative guitarist to the team...Notice how they've become less progressive after The Discovery (Last album with Jason)
the only album with Jason, Cameron wrote most of the new reign and jason didnt write on a higher place. Discovery was it for him
Jason is one of the best guitarists/composers in the genre. His contribution to The Discovery was significant, no doubt, and it wouldn't be the great album that it is if it weren't for him, but he only wrote one entire song himself (XIV/Behold) on the album and contributed sections, leads, and solos to others (Follow The Signs, Singularity, Devastate, Regenerate, Dissimulation) while Cameron and Lee wrote the rest of the album. Every other BOO album pre and post The Discovery have consisted of Cameron and Lee as the sole music writers. I honestly think this band gets blamed for their decent into more accessible, simply structured music because of Jason's departure far too often. Fans tend to overextend his role in the band I think. A Higher Place was their most progressive album and that was all Cameron with one song from Lee, Exist. I think we should be asking why Cameron doesn't write in the style that he used to instead of when are they going to replace Jason. Just my two cents.
I was in the pit the entire show here. So dope
I'm super excited to see them on this tour, but I really hope they play "The Eternal Reign" versions of the songs next time. I really want to hear the solo at the end of "Abstract Art" and whatever other cool new parts are in the album which is yet to be released at this time haha.
Dylan Edwards That's what the whole tour is. All Eternal Reign.
Actually, it's The New Reign Tour. They are performing the original versions of the songs, not The Eternal Reign versions.
Crazy I saw this 10 years ago with unearth emmure. Abstract art and empire erase BACK THEN even slayed!
Saw them in January of 2008 with Tony Danza, See you next Tuesday, and beneath the massacre! There was like 25 people at the show.. it was great lol
Been following these guys since The New Reign!
atextmessage 10 years bro.
atextmessage no worries mate, the names are very similar.
You gotta love how even the security is rocking out
I went to the first show of this tour (2-17-2017) in Minneapolis and they killed it! it was insane. also the crowd was super alive and went nuts. amazing set
SilverDust glad to hear that they kicked ass, I'm seeing them Saturday
TIGHT!!
Lol the security guard in the yellow shirt was head banging most of the time.
Dope
20:42 you're welcome
Javier Salas so epic!!
I don't know if you see that guy making an awesome headbanging to the intro of the song. I'd meet him and make him my friend haha
Javier Salas me too haha, I see him
always good to see the bouncers jammin out too
FUCK YEAH
23:30 i love the security trying to resist headbanging. (made me go back and watch them resist more lmfao) obligation's
suckkersssss!!! hahaha
Not my kind of music, but that drummer, my goodness he is TIGHT!!!!
these guys kinda fell off after the discovery, but holy crap this is tight
TWDA was sick imo; soul sphere not so much
also this album was originally released before the discovery ;)
I’m pretty sure they wrote the stuff for the ep in high school
haha the beginning made me laugh so hard
Technical!
Did you record the Within The Ruins set?
Alex Safford I wanted to but ended up venturing down to the main floor for their set and it was absolute madness haha, so unfortunately wasn't able to 😩
I'm also looking for a video of there set, so anxious
TorontoConcerts aw man i wanted to hear them
Tyreek Murillo should have stayed up on the balcony haha, underestimated how rowdy the crowd was gonna be 😆
TorontoConcerts i was kinda looking forward to seeing within the ruins, them and osiris are the main reasons im going
They fucked up?
Fallout 4 Bug technical difficulty
Why does joe have tracks playing shit thats just two chords? I like how he runs around and does flips but playing is cool too.
smh, restarted because computer stopped...
@nasonjewton false, I was guestlisted backstage for this show.. Cameron didn't have a click and could only hear the lead guitar.. he called reset so he could actually play the 14 songs they played flawlessly
timothy Fearnow that's why they need a second guitar player for rhythm
Tyreek Murillo The guitar player is not responsible for the tempo. It's either the drummer or a clicktrack.
Uh, click, samples, backing guitar. Kind of need to hear that to play their set lol. Obviously if the drummer cant hear that shit, they need to fix that.
So they played eternal reign all together then played other songs after?
BadJokesBrian yeah man, The New Reign is only like 24 minutes long. They'd need more songs to fill up a regular headliner set haha
So what happened in the beginning
cameron messed up and stopped playing haha
NasonJewton lmao I didn't notice
I thought it was something with the lights😂

Reply
Oh I was just going off of Joe saying "It happens to all of us" and shit like that. I guess he didn't really know what was going on either.
NasonJewton my bad for jumping down your throat. just sucks for Cameron..
Did they play The New Reign or The Eternal Reign?
they played the original versions, but the synths were more eternal reign sounding
What happened at the beginning?
Javier Salas Cameron didn't have the click in his ear so he couldn't keep on time with the backing tracks lol
Jimmy Bennett oh shit.
Lee's been kind of stopped latel... Who knows why?
The synth breakdown in abstract art gets me wet haha
y yo que me ahuevo cuanto pilfeo alguna nota jajajaj
Everyone complaining about Lee. The thing is he wasn't even band when this album came out so playing this album probably feels awkward to him.
Lee looks bored af. Kinda a bummer.
JamesisBloodshot he use to rage on stage. Probably doesn't drink as much before playing anymore
