It's a weird feeling coming "home" after all these adventures, being an outsider and everything is like before but without you, right? Coming to Cassardis as Seneschal was really weird and kind of sad
This. Few games force you to return to a place that you've always been rushing around in, getting your gear, grabbing quests from the board, switching out your equipment, you're always on the move about to head into another adventure... Then suddenly you return and it's just peaceful... Nothing to do ... Just stand and watch the world go by.
This. So much about my home town has changed I barely recognize it, most of my old haunts have been eradicated, so little that is familiar and recognizable. Makes you wonder if they ever really existed, or if it was all imagination. Disconnection.. disorientation. The 12th of Never..@@gumis123PL
This game is one of the few games that I have beaten over 10 times and I still go back to it. The characters, the story, the land, the music, and the sense of adventure make this game breathtaking and one of the most memorable experiences in gaming history.
+Seburtis I like DD more than the Souls game, too. But I think they are not even that compareable. Dragons Dogma, what a Secret of Mana game is for adults and Dark Souls what basically a 3D Castlevania is. That it is not a question of "better" or "worse" but of "genre" and "taste".
It KILLS me that we don't have a hometown like Cassardis to anchor us in DD2, especially with so much of the game already being a parallel of the first one. You could argue Melve is our "hometown" but it comes off as a fairly generic place that simply serves as the starting point for our Arisin, whereas you get a very special vibe from Cassardis, like a place where destinys are forged. The music itself starts of cozy and humble before becoming grand and proud, fortelling our rise from unassuming fisherman to the man who will shape the future. Its an incredibly nostalgic theme for me that gets used as a leitmotif a handful of times, enough to cement Cassardis as a place not to be forgotten.
It’s unfortunate. DDDA has always had a special place in my heart as one of those games that has so much to give yet wasn’t able to reach its fullest potential due to the time constraints and budget. One can only imagine what the game would be capable of had it been in the oven long enough.
OHMY THIS IS SOO TRUE AF Like man at least our Arisen in DD1 had a place and kinda a backstory Arisen in DD2 is barely a character and they don't even bother stating where are we from Heck we shoulda got someone who recognise us before the incident The only one who recognise us is Ulrika and she only know us because of how we save her Like damn not even one person who knows me BEFORE this even happen?????
Oof thats a hit of nostalgia, takes me back to 2013 sophomore year. I’m old as the dragonforged but thats ok I will accept my fade to dust all the same.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is less than a week away after playing for over a decade, and I don't think I'm ready for the possibility that they might play the Cassardis theme when you go outside after the dragon attack.
It was kind of funny actually, I have like 100+h gameplay on DD and not once have I noticed this song until now. I entered Cassardis and BAM. I heard it and I loved it! :D
One of my finest greatness game I ever played my father gift me this game I Said that time dad look at the demon he looks so ugly for the moment I play the game I kinda like this game I played this when I was grade 1 7 years old in PS3 now when I bought Xbox360 I buy this game again after I was grade 4 my father bought me a new Xbox one but dragondogma is currently available they don't know when will it released O PLS LORD MAKE DRAGON DOGMA COME OUT IN XBOXONE
This track, and the Gran Soren theme, are like shots of music espresso. How did they condense this much beauty into such a short piece of music? It literally gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.
@@Mohgenstein With DD2, somethings feel a step back like armor design and that stupid health loss mechanic and some monsters that weren't recycled a lot like the hydra and gargoyle. They legit could of made some new monsters to the game besides its version of the sphinx. Even if it just meant reusing a monster from the MMO like the orcs or the manticore. Music in DD2 sadly really can't compare well. I can't even remember a track from the second game save for the ending notes of the song that plays when you fell something like a cyclopes.
DD1 was better in general which is sad since this time Itsuno had time to actually make the game he wanted. I guess what he wanted to make was a game with 4 skills, bad enemy variety, braindead ai, and a lame story.
@@Mohgenstein Idk, "making the game he wanted" seems to have been pr talk. It's pretty clear this one was rushed too. Apparently the team was tiny for a game of this caliber. Capcom just hates this series for some reason, man.
@@Mohgensteinthis game had around 1/4 of the staff a Capcom game usually has. It probably means that Capcom isn't willing to invest into this game the resources that the other big franchises usually get, but since this game performed really really well, maybe we get redemption in the inevitable DLC. It's a shame the game came out in the state it did, no matter what you think whether or not Itsuno is a hack or no, the first game is way too good and not Itsuno's first and only masterpiece so it's very weird that Dogma 2 came out feeling even more unfinished than 1 did, I honestly don't wanna believe that this is Itsuno's fully formed vision, DD1 is more memorable in every way.
10 more days... Can't believe its right around the corner. Once my adventures are over in Dragons Dogma II, I will be coming back to this song and playing it while staring at the mountains thinking of Cassardis.
@@MisterHeroman The game is amazing other than the soundtrack. I’m glad they actually added the 1st one so you can change it whenever you want for those who purchased the deluxe edition. Such a great game and definitely a 9 out of 10 for me.
The thought that you have been forgotten as a member of your hometown now that you became the Seneschal is enough to make someone cry. They cannot see you anymore because, to them, you are just an invisible entity that creates new life and kills old life
After all my hours into Dragon's Dogma, Cassardis is one of my favorite place to relax and hear the music, it's so chill and relaxing, what a beautiful game Dragon's Dogma is, One of the best game of all time on my list, doing 100% with all the Vocations and skills is really worth it.
Playing the first for the first time after beating the second one and man the second one feels like "Here bro just take it" type of game compared to this one
This song really gets me emotional, truly one of the greatest pieces of music in video game history. I 100%'d DD1 back in September and this song always gave me a sense of peace, even after my 4th attempt at completing speedrun mode, it made me feel happy, even when I wanted to rip my hair out. Play dark souls
Archer Emiya As someone who plays DS extensively I can say I thoroughly enjoy DG more. Cruious to see how Bloodborne will turn out
Archer Emiya I've played all the souls games, DS1 being my favorite by far, but I still think this is just better

It was my freshman year. Oh man how this song takes me back 😭
As soon as I stepped out of the chiefs house I knew I loved this song .
I love this song, it's really quiet, even though it seems that in this game the quietness doesn't exist...
cassardis truly reminds me of a beautiful place from Greece I been long time ago.. I wish I could go back there..
Well, they're all fisherman and in old times there were plenty in old times in Greece and various places in the eastern region. :)
Play this at the last scene right when you fall, it's beautiful
One of my favourites, I just wish it was longer...

this song so beautiful. You would have never thought this belonged to a medieval game it really stands out from the rest of the soundtrack.
Masterpiece soundtrack
just watching Asmon play this game today, come here for the music
I hope we can see it again in a new engine with the upcoming Dragon`s Dogma 2 !!
Love this game so much
Crazy how it uses the same vocal as Kingdom Valley but has a completely different vibe
Both beautiful songs in different ways
The DD1 soundtrack has so much sauce; huge downgrade in the second game. At least there's the original soundtrack add on.
Makes it look like even they knew that the music sucked since they made that addon.

I love when this song plays when I enter cassardis. Makes you feel at home there.
Ahhhhhhhhhh ooowoooooo woooowooowoooooooooooo
Obessed with Dragons Dogma II atm but I miss this sound track. Reminds me of Nujabes when the Piano starts playing.
This track, and the Gran Soren theme, are like shots of music espresso. How did they condense this much beauty into such a short piece of music? It literally gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.
Some of the tones in Gran Soren reminds me of Joe Hisashi's Spirited Away score. Can't put my finger on it.
Despite all the time I'm having in Vermund, its city and its villages just can't compare to the seaside charm of Cassardis.
Many things In DD2 can’t compare to DD1, kinda sad tbh.

Lovely song. Is that an organ starting up (or becoming more evident) at about the 0:33 mark? The depth of the track really impresses me.

The vocal samples sound very similar to that of Kingdom Valley "The Water" from Sonic '06.
Same sample. But I'm not sure if sonic 06 made the sample themselves or got from somewhere else.
@@theexaltedlt8222 They got it from a sound library, can't remember which one though.
When I got the sound dlc for DD2 I was hoping this was there
Trying to learn this on the piano. The piano version is called "Well Being" btw.
Where is that?
I wish this was longer
This should be 5 times longer. XD But it's a great theme anyway. Love the atmosphere it sets. Cassardis ftw.
everything is perfectly mixed
Majula before Majula DS2
Cassardis’ theme is basically just an old man whining in pain about his bad back

I know what you mean. Here is the soundtrack that uses the voices you mentioned.
Sonic 06 kingdom valley water.
For no reasion everytime i heared this song on the game i stop moving my character and Look 2 the sky

The Griffin theme from one should have stuck 100℅, thanks to that game I always associate Griffins with that theme.
The leitmotif of Eternal Return is so.. !!, Y'know??
I want to hear this when I die.
Reminds me of ’Berserk 1997 - Guts’
this game overall feels like berserk in general
This game is heavily inspired by a ton of big titles but Berserk is the one it most relates to
@@venomshake8187 I agree. Dragons Dogma feels more Berserk than what Dark Souls does, even though both take as much inspiration from it.

The fucking same vocal samples as Sonic 06’s Kingdom Valley water theme, I’m dying
Guts Theme
Esto es el equivalente al save room theme de todos los resident evils
Really? It begins literally right when you step out of the Chief's house at the start of the game. Like...seriously?
This music always reminded me of the soundtrack from Beyond Good and Evil. That's a good association.

Show de bola
Kingdom Valley
Awesomesauce.

It's on top of the roof on the building to the right
