    I have owned a cbr1100xx and fjr 1300 , both for several years ... I have now a Concours 14 2015 and believe me this big beast is a sport-touring

    Youe opinuon if this bike is a sport tourer or not is just that, this bike can lean deep,has tons of power and has a sports frame .
    Put the windshield down, remove the bags and you can this bike on the track
    It is a aport tourer

      To me it is 100% a sports touring motorcycle. So much so in fact I will be buying one this summer.

      @@catalystreactionsbw I recommend her. she is awesome.
      a few upgrades i recommend :
      Vstream windshield., I am 5.10 and although the windshield raises just to under my nose,i never use the shield on the helmet unless it is raining or riding behind a dump truck
      get a custom seat if you are planing on doing huge trips.
      So far i have bought two, a saddlemen and a corbyn, the first one was ok, the corbyn seems the best but it has taken a long time to break in (over 10000 miles in fact ) but it is finally starting to feel comfy enough)
      People out there make custom seats that cut them to your weight and I heard those are the best if you dont care about style and more about comfort.
      Also get a throttle lock, they are the poor man's cruise control,it comes in handy when you want to give your right hand a break or just to alleviate pressure a bit.,
      Thats it! she served me well, several cross state trips and she still lights right up.
      And she is still fun to take on short trips as well.

      @@catalystreactionsbw Funny to see recent replies on an older video. Just found your channel. Funny enough, I cross shopped an H2 SE vs the concours. Got sucked in by the fancy whiz bang of the H2, but probably should have settled for the Connie given I try to ride it to work daily most of the year round. (~100 miles round trip) Would be nice to not constantly be doing a chain clean and lube.

      @@catalystreactionsbw Hey Dave, You got my Orange ZX10 to handle perfectly for AFM and track days. I was always amazed you could decipher my "it does this, it does that" language at all those events. So a few days ago I bought a '13 Concours 14. Time to start tuning it :-) Ill be in touch.

    This bike is definitely a SPORT tourer, it will easily do all sport tasks, if anything the seat out of the factory is too sporty and not tourer enough. But I saw you say you hadn’t rode one, and she looks a lot bigger than her competition, so no blame I guess

    • @catalystreactionsbw
      @catalystreactionsbw  Год назад

      I have ridden one and the Concours has presence both in weight and handling. The seat is tall so a 32" inseam or longer is a big help. Once set up with geometry and suspension, a lot of the weight disappears and the bike feels much lighter and is easier to ride.

    • @catalystreactionsbw
      @catalystreactionsbw  4 года назад

      Do you have the same miles and do you weigh the same. If not, those settings will not be correct for you, For $40 I can give you your own settings for your bike ridden at your pace.

      Dave Williams, editor, replying here. Excellent point. My opinion is jaded for sure, limited by the sources mentioned. If I rode one I might just say, yep sport tourer extraordinaire. Every rider I've met who owns/owned one loves it.
