I had been flying instructor for 30+ years, but all were single, though I had 2300 hours on a military twin ... This Cessna 310 is my dream plane

I m no pilot but when I was a kid my father who was a pilot used to fly this Cessna 310.I wish I was young enough to enjoy & remember all about it.. What remained from this memory is a photo of me,my brother who is now lucky enough to be a pilot in Boeing 777& 787,my mom & some guest whom my father was ordered to transport them. Since I m very much interested in flying ,I even happened to watch an interior footage which I saw it in another video.

I once flew in a 310 with the Riley conversion. It flew like a rocket.

Sweet, love the channel. I wish you also did many other different, unique a less talked about or known planes of general aviation like the Cessna SKYMASTER, amphibious planes like the Seabee or the new Albatross being built in Australia. Just all kinds of other less known but cool obtainable single pilot planes.

Hey Scott, thank you very much for your comment! The Skymaster is already scheduled for the not-so-distant future. We're always looking for new aircraft to talk about on the channel that are interesting to you, so thank you for your suggestions, and feel free to suggest as many aircraft as you want.

The 310 was the Lear Jet of light twins. The 1972 to 1974 models where the best looking and the last of the short nose 310s.So much more room then a Baron.

The aft baggage will hold MUCH more than 50 lbs! You must be figureing 6 people on board and max fuel? I don't know the exact capacity, it's at least 150-200 lbs easy! The 310 is my FAVORITE light twin, but I would never operate it with more than 4 seats max! Remove the 5/6 rear seats and just the forward 4 seats only! It's when guy's are pressured or tempted to fly with 6 people, fuel, baggae and overload them! Having only 4 seats takes that factor out!

If avgas was still $2.00 per gallon, this would be a great airplane…

There is no reason to buy a light twin. You are 6 times more likely to be killed in light twins than single engines. This is pure ego.

Not exactly. The stats show 4x more likely in a crash but most engine outs end up a non event and the pilot lands, proficiency is key. If you fly it like a pro… you’ll be ok. Skimp on training… you’re correct.

I'm a CFI, II, IIME. Light twins are not assured to climb under all conditions. Most students and many doing Bi-annuals don't know that or forgot. Light twins make no sense. @@d.mar.7792
