    The only thing I didn’t like when I demo this a few years ago was, all the eq and dynamics are only controlled by the plugin. There is no physical pots on the console where you can reach out and twist knobs. Yes, it’s completely recallable which is great but you have to open/close each track plug-in window and use the mouse to adjust parameters. So, it felt way slower to mix on that a traditional desk with physical eq’s and dynamics. Overall I was pretty impressed and depending on your workflow, this could be an amazing console for the modern studio

      They should come out with a dedicated controller for their plugin/digitally controlled EQs & Dynamics if they don't have one yet

      That's not entirely true. There are four encoders in the center section of the console that can be used to control EQ and dynamics.
      That being said, I think that this way of interacting with the EQ and dynamics is the weak spot of this console. It reminds me more of how you would work with a cheap, digital live mixer than a flagship recording console.

    • @AMSNeveLtd
      @AMSNeveLtd 7 месяцев назад +5

      Hello! The console has four dedicated encoders placed in the centre section that can focus on and control any channel EQ locally. In fact, this design has many benefits to on-channel EQ controls; for one, it is much faster to EQ channels while remaining in the stereo sweet spot.

    It's about time that analog consoles got an overhaul. Too many factory's just rely on the same concept they had since the 70'ies. Analog consoles should have digital controls, DAW control and a built in ad/da converter..... Live technology evolves and studio technology lacks all forms of progression

      While it is funny, I think I can understand what he means. Pete Townshend of The Who just installed a similar sized Audient console in his home studio, which is about the size of a bedroom. And, there are plenty of hip hop producers selling beats out of a bedroom that could afford this investment. Funny the way he put it, but it *sorta* makes sense.

    If you're going to upload a 21:9 aspect ratio video, then upload it as 21:9. Don't upload it in a 16:9 format as the black bars at the top and bottom are wasted space. Some people actually have 21:9 ultra widescreen monitors, so a letterboxed 16:9 video like this has bars on the top and bottom and both sides, making your video framing look ridiculous. RUclips can easily handle a 21:9 aspect ratio video and will automatically add bars, if needed, to the end user's monitor or phone screen.

    We were looking for a console for our studio and were stuck between the genesys and the ssl duality. Both consoles lack in someway or another. We are a film studio and neither of these consoles have the modern workflow necessary. The live studio desks are much better in terms of modernization(But lacking analog) and i wish these analog desks would be more like their live desk counterparts in terms of modern workflow. Thees analog desks are outdated in the following ways:
    1. Neither allow for total recall of every parameter of the board. Its only partial. We are always switching between different projects so this is a must. Neve is better than ssl in this regard but still lacking.
    2. No dante integration
    3. Lack of onboard processing ( most iconic emulation plugins: reverb, eqs, delays, etc )
    4. Proper dolby atmos and surround sound workflow. The workflow for dolby atmos on the Neve is quite bad. Its better to just do it in the daw. In my opinion its not useable. Look at how nicely its implemented on live consoles such as SSL or even yamaha.
    All in all these consoles are seriously outdated. The first to produce an analog console with true modern workflow will win the market.
