Agree 100%. Refilling the entire bar was never an issue. I would even say only put one point in Focus Reset PP gain as well because it just doesn't feel worth the investment as of now. You only let your gauge drop for the finisher and then you should be keeping it up until the next Overdrive.
Gunblade focus amp feels like such a throw skill to have 5 points in since it only boosts the first bar to gain and there's no shortage of ways to quickly fill it. Haven't tested it myself but idk if blowing your overdrive finisher pops the pp regen skill or not. If it do then that's worth investing in.
good point about amp misread it myself and did not realise it only applies to the first bar. i have just tested the overdrive finisher and it DOES NOT pop the pp regen skill. In fact overdrive ending DOES NOT trigger the the regen skill. this makes me think the regen skill is kind of pointless as focus should only drop if 1) you use overdrive where you do not get the effect of the regen skill or 2) you are out of combat and you don't really care about having pp at the moment. Edit: I tested further and found that th pp regen skill does trigger when activating overdrive which makes it quite good. Would put no more than 4 points in it though. Amp has a niche use as unleashed rage generates one bar of focus on hit which can be amped to 1.5 to 2 bars with amp though would still not put more than 1 point in
Hmm, the slayer subclass is weird for Ranger, yet I see more crit procs using photon arts so I can see it as a bonus. I can see using Revolt Aim and Razing Shot being the go-to PAs. Doing Blazing Shot is awkward cause the PP regen isn’t that great.

Like a few pips move up while your PP is draining. I’m going to do more testing when I get off work. As for Razing Shot or Revolt Aim, I can see those PAs be beneficial in fights. For Homing Darts…..Force subclass…all I can say about that one.

I ran slayer as a sub for braver… just gonna say that the dmg boost isn’t enough to compensate for the lack of pp recovery. I mean, hitting hard doesn’t matter if you dont have a way to hit in the first place.
I was thinking about going Slayer/Gunner for the PP Regen on basically all attacks unless I'm misunderstanding these skills as the noob that I am lol. And then Ranger/Slayer
you can get away with less points in critical pp gain honestly. 5 is overkill, especially considering weaving in slug normals will probably be a part of the rotation
Techer if you're running a Neos and can handle the PP management fine. Gu if you're struggling with PP. Fi/Bo are also options but don't give as much gains as the latter two imo.

I only like double blade with two of it's moved on fighter. Y'all doing all this crap playing around mele while those stupid monsters swarming y'all, monsters want y'all to stay in one place. As for me I'm always moving around range or not, I almost never get it. I will let you idiots continue playing with your sticks as risk of fainting death is high

Why do you say it's weird? That was gonna be my choice but maybe I'll go Fighter/Slayer and give my Fatale 3 Gunblaze Daggers a shot 🤔

I put all points into gunblade focus and for my 2nd skill tree I put 10pts into crit and I'm happy!
🤔So as a sub class Slayer is good, I may try as a sub for Bouncer to replace Force. As a main class what would be a good sub? Fighter? Hunter?
