I don't get why I see people degrading Lucky Star for being "moe" all the time. Yeah it's moe but at the same time it feels like it makes fun of moe tropes a lot. As someone who utterly, viscerally hates haruhi, LS seemed to take everything that show did wrong, and do it absolutely right. And Konata is so goddamned hard to not like.
Since finding out about LuckyStar some 5-10 years ago I have not watched it. I found it easy to put it aside for being childish in art style and characters at first glance. Today however, I have a respect for the show just for the sake that it has attracted a grand fan base. That is a strong indicator of being a premium anime. I am pretty sure I would fall for it IF I were to watch it. Funny situation.

The only Absurd parts of Lucky Star are the style (they are chibified despite them being all in high school and Konata and her gang are even seniors, Konata eventually becomes 18 in an episode) and probably the episodes with Anime Tenchou.
