Some years ago driving through Worcester town centre there was a nice and shiny brand new pick up parked on the side of the road with the door wide open in traffic. The owner was standing on the kerb chatting with people from the takeaway and the open door was holding up traffic as it was blocking about a yard of the lane. I actually hit the door bending it right back on to the wing causing a ton of damage to the new pick up whilst I only had a small dent and a bit of missing paint. The insurance found in my favour due to dash cam footage and the other driver was fined by the courts as well, it seemed an oddly stupid thing to do leaving your door wide open in very busy traffic. I didn't say this when I was surrounded by 6-8 irate gentlemen jabbering at me in some strange language and getting quite aggressive so I rang the police who attended in under 5 minutes.
As a Worcester resident, I can tell you that it's a hotbed of road user stupidity!

But on a positive side, there's no Fiat 500, Nissan Cashcow, Nissan Juke, Volvo, or Honda Jazz.
I was a crash investigator and can tell you exactly how that happened: It fell off that flatbed when the flatbed turned left, that's why no skid marks, as the car fell off the lorry the cars front end got caught on the lip of the lorry ripping it off, the other car is a witness and probably has undercarriage damage from all the crap that came off the other car when it fell.
Is the crumple damage consistent with that theory? That was my first thought but I kind of think he might have pulled into the back of it, probably slid his nose under the right rear light mount. Upwards torsion to the upper-right side of the bonnet and caused that crumple damage you see more with head on collisions. But I could be wrong. Edit: And then reversed out of shock and went through the fence? xD

That fence by the pond. I could drive past it for weeks and see it look scruffy or busted. Then a week later it's looking nice and sturdy but a day or two later and there's a gap again. Never had an issue driving there myself.

For the crashed car, the onlyy scenario I can come up with is that it turned up into the side road, had a front end collision whch then sent it backwards into the fencing where you saw it.
Almost. The truck pulled him back all the way into the fence. There's not THAT much of rebound that would cause that much damage except being pushed all the way.
A video from you wouldn't be complete without you announcing "We're on the good old M25 again". As soon as you said that, I just knew it was going to feature an M25 / A3 slip road cheater. Can't wait for all that work to be finished. Some time in 2025 I believe.

On the Lexus @11:30 ish when the van on the roundabout pulls off. It looks like there's damage to the panel above the off side rear wheel (maybe)...
That would correspond to my grazing shot theory. He was not fully gone when the truck from the side street went backwards.

Most car owners do not believe that the power steering works, so if they turn too sharply the steering column will break.
Bit like they can't colour between the lines as well.

At the end, where the ex-PHV uses the wrong lane and speeds off, there is a police car to the left that must have seen both these things - it did nothing. Probably on a critical donut run.
The Ped did not have full priority, peds only have priority if they are waiting to cross or have already started to cross a side road into which a vehicle is turning.
prolly came from side road opposite dodging other vehicle grabbing a gap, lost it going across front and slammed into railings that spun it around. Darn I am good hehe ( not a clue really )
11:00 , accident report ;
Pro was travelling from roundabout at speed , blue car came out from junction but there was a queue waiting towards the roundabout, pro clips blue car (a or b pillar) , pro goes through fence and due to damage ended up in the fence about 20 yards down (hence the bulge by the lamp post) . Looks to be slight dent on blue by the filler cap (due to hitting van/lorry after push by pro)
Verdict: blue fault but pro was speeding
I think it all started when one of the vehicles - or maybe both - over -abouted instead of roundabouted. Just like LDC at 11:33.

My hunch is that the car that went through the railings backwards had been left with its handbrake off in the side turning opposite. Unless the railings were already weakened somehow, I can't see anyone actually reversing through those railings; it would do the car a lot more damage and the railings almost none. As for the car that was stopped next to the roundabout, that might've clipped it on its way down.
But how do you account for the damage at the front of the car?
The truck in the side street pushed him backwards. I assume the silver car was pushed backwards into it, actuay waiting for the truck to go on, but nope, backwards we go
@@dtfhhn Given its current position, I think the truck is a rescue truck; it's there to carry away that wrecked car.
The Carshalton collision.
The blue suv has rear end damage clearly over the off side rear wheel arch. The taxi parked on the grass has front nearside impact damage.
The most probable scenario is that the suv has emerged from the side road... intending to turn right ( the way you travel) and collided with the taxi which has taken avoidance action.. but still hit the suv, done a turn on the grass and attempted to emerge back through the hole it created in the railings. The blue suv has been told to turn left to the mini ra and park up.

First thing I noticed, is that the wrecked car wasn't going forward into the fence, but backwards. So, it was pushed into it as there's damage to the front. The other car standing a bit further back has no obvious damage, so maybe only got a grazing shot. The culprit is the small truck on the left side, which seems more likely to be the case as someone else fled the scene. He wanted to back up into the street, why ever, and didnt see the silver car behind. A lot of honkings later, he realized his mistake and went forward again. Yet, too late, the car was pushed through the fence. The heights in the back of the truck somehwat relate to the damage of the car.
Oh and to the 20mph. I assume it was even at maximum 10mph. A pushback over 10m gaining 10mph speed, enough ramming speed and mass is present to wreck the fence. Luckily there wasn't much more around...

How did it get there ?? Well, it simply fell off the back of the wagon, on the side road (Left, from rear camera) it was already damaged at the front, which is why it was on the back of a truck. The car stopped at the roundabout..the driver saw it happen & can't stop laughing !!!
Tony, speed limits are just numbers to some people. For example, a couple of weeks ago ( it was a Sunday afternoon ), i was driving along Bilford Road in Worcester, where they have one of those signs that show everyone behind you exactly how fast you went past it. It's 30 mph limit, and i always have my speed limiter on in a 39 area. I said to my mrs " that car in front's pulling away from us". As he went past the sign, it flashed up FORTY TWO! Thing is it's just before a blind left bend, with skip wagons coming out from a recycling centre on the right.
Crash investigation query. "How do you go in there backwards yet sustain so much damage to the front??

I got the A3 / M25 car wrong, I thought it was the Audi that overtook you. I was waiting for the camera to switch to the front to see it cut across all the lanes!

And about five minutes in: bus 420!
At 5:20, my dad always said if you want to turn around then turn right. The right turn might be wise enough for you to turn 180 degrees or, if not, then you will be going into a quiter road where it is easier to do a 3 point turn. I think the van had enough space to do 180 turn but did not get the manoeuvre correct. But regardless of that, Tony, you do make a complete song and dance of the hold up caused. 10 seconds? Is 10 seconds really so precious in our mundane lives?
The section at 7:50, where you complain about queue jumping, you know full well that the left hand lanes becomes a left turn only and the right hand lane turns right, but the road markings dont tell you that until much further along and long after the forming queue. On the video it is a full minute until you see the first road marking to tell you that. Whether that car driver knew that or not is relatively immaterial. It is the fault of the road marinkgs or signs that this can happen and you have no idea whether any driver is new or not to that section of the road.
4:51 the car that was on the wrong side was clearly there because of the white van parked illegally just before the bend blocking her carriageway.
Even if that was the case there is still a way of going around the a vehicle on a bend i.e not do it at 100 mph look out for something coming the other way and not chat to your children in the car as you are doing it and not looking at the road.
This one made me chuckle.

I had several run-ins which the hateful bitch; but my big ugly Toyota was enough to make her back off and give way.
I gave zero fucks driving that thing, it was a beast; a brand new Volvo T5 tried to force right of way - I ripped his rear bumper off and laughed at him; a fresh, VERY small scuff to my polypropylene bumper.

Yes a very good video shows you that there are a quarter or more drivers on the road that don't no how to drive if they got at least half of the drivers in England to take there test again I will assure you that they would fail I'd put money on it .

I usually agree with what you say, but at 9:20 with the red van turning nobody has a guaranteed right of way you have to drive as the circumstances if the road dictate.
In The Highway Code there is a bit in there about inconveniencing other drivers he's inconvenienced probably seven or eight cars doing that, there is a correct way of doing a turn in the road and an incorrect way of doing a turn in the road this is definitely an incorrect turn in the road for a lot of reasons.

"Be careful of and considerate to all other road users", "try to be understanding if other road users cause problems", "do not allow yourself to become agitated or involved if someone is behaving badly on the road", "slow down and hold back if a road user pulls out into your path at a junction. Allow them to get clear"

08:30 it will make you slow down to allow it to go by. To me it gives you no choice but to let them go it’s either that or drive into oncoming traffic to get round the car that’s sticking out.

I hate tailgaters. Like you, there's no way I'm speeding up to accommodate them, even of I could. My main concern however is that my car, which is my pride and joy and expensive also runs performance brakes.... something these idiots don't think about in case of stopping distances

I was pushbiking home a few nights ago at 01:30. The road was tree-lined and in one of those dark spots not well illuminated, my front light picked up a black car's driver door fully open. I passed and there was nobody about. Cars do tear up that road (30mph) at that time of night. Just asking for it!
My weirdest "going home late at night" parked vehicle discovery was driving along The Highway from the city towards the Limehouse link tunnel. It was perhaps 2AM. About halfway along the Highway I found a car parked in the right hand lane at a set of traffic lights. Nobody in sight, just a car parked, ignition off, lights off, in the main carriageway outside lane. Pulled around the next corner and called the Old Bill. No idea why it was there or what the outcome was.
For the car park emerge at 6:30, you insist that a driver can only see to his right by actually moving his head to the right. You might well do that on your driving test so the examiner can clealry see you are observing all around you, but in real life your peripheral vision will pick up any movement to the right even wheh your head is pointed forwards. Those cars know full well that there is a very small chance of traffic coming from tbeir right so the peripheral vision check is fine. It does need to head to be forward so if one car hed their head to the left then they wouldn't have been able to check!
Fact that it's a give way at that car park, suggest you should look an move your head to do so. Problem with people you should not assume anything. And we should drive like on your test because that is the HIGHWAY CODE. this attitude is why there are so many IDIOTS on the road.

I've been doing this for about six years, your licence only lasts for 3 years then you have to renew it, every time I've had to renew my license and I've had to do it 3 times now there's something different that TFL want you to do, Costs about £500 each time depending on what TFL expect you to do. I should do a video a lot of people will be surprised at some of the hoops we have to jump through.
The crashed car most likely has been turned around and prepared to load up on the recovery truck right in front of it. The idiot probably went through the fence front first

At 4:41 You are unnecessarily harsh with your comment about the oncoming driver! As soon as we turn the bend there is a white van parked very near the bend that she would have had to negotiate and was returning to her side of the road! I think at times you are quick to chide when there are mitigating circumstances!
I don't think you can properly see just how fast she came round that corner not being able to see anything and on the wrong side of the road.

No, an automatic has very little engine braking as opposed to a manual and if you take your foot off of the accelerator then it will coast. The brake will only come on if you stick your foot on it. The reason the Audi in the clip was braking in the outside lane is because they were on their phone and it's an automatic reaction because they started to swerve in the lane.

A couple of days ago I stopped at a zebra crossing to let two school kids cross! Guess what? One of every drivers favourite cyclists overtook me and cycled between the two kids! Unbelievable! It's about time that all cyclists should be registered and recognisable so they can be held to account

If drivers should give cyclists 1.5m gap, why can't cyclists give 1.5m gap to cars and pedestrians? If they're then hit, they'll blame anyone but themselves
4:58 the pedestrian doesn't have priority here. It's not a zebra crossing. I know you were trying to be nice, but you actually put the pedestrian and possibly the cyclist at risk there by stopping. Before yielding like this, you should check your mirrors for any cyclists or motorcyclist approaching from behind. As they are perfectly entitled to filter past, it's dangerous to encourage a pedestrian to step out when there's a risk of a collision. Also, it's a lot harder to start/stop on a bike than in a car (or even on foot), so you should not prioritise pedestrians over cyclists and motorcyclists when it's not necessary.
I also wonder, as you were going to pull over, if you had your left indicator on? That would encourage the cyclist and motorcyclist to pass.
You do need to read the Highway Code, pedestrians once they've started to cross have full priority the only person that put this pedestrian in danger is the cyclist because as we know cyclists don't follow any rules.

Why did you kindly let the women cross the road? I don't recognise the crossing as anything in the Highway Code. Were you just being nice?
It's called common courtesy. He was able to, and it didn't add to his journey time.
It's what the road planners call an 'opportunistic crossing'. It has many of the features of a zebra crossing, like a raised hump, different colour road surface, tactile paving for the visually impaired, and so on, but has no legal status. Planners like them because they can slap them anywhere without going through the formalities of designing and installing a zebra or similar crossing. As they have no legal status, neither pedestrians nor any other road user knows what the rules for them are, because there are none beyond those that apply to any stretch of road.

there is damage to the right rear wing but it seems disproportionate to the other vehicle which seems to have flipped so my guess would be tyre on tyre and then somehow its launched and flipped.
