      I have felt for a long time that the South and the Midwest have a lot more "cultural affinity" for one another than the Northeast and the Midwest---and the style of "rasslin" both parts of the country enjoy is just further proof. • @aprentissdaye
    @aprentissdaye 3 года назад +62

    The importance of Tony Khan wanting to bring back some form of the wrestling territory system with multiple wrestling promotions working together in a partnership now suddenly makes a lot more sense than it ever has before. McMahon literally drained the territory system in the 80s so only WWF would the sole wrestling promotion in the world with territory promotions such as GCW/NWA/WCW etc ceasting to exist. McMahon has been about monopolizing the wrestling industry for over 3 decades, something he actually accomplished for quite a while.

    A lot of people criticize Vince McMahon these days for the direction the WWE is going. But then, nobody can ever take away how successful he was as a promoter. From his takeover of the WWE, national expansion, Wrestlemania, the Monday Night Wars - the man has balls to bet on himself and his vision and see to it that he will get what he wants.

    The more I hear these stories, the more I'm convinced that Vince McMahon wasn't a visionary, but way too lucky.

      Yes he was very lucky! However Vince also had to have some skills! Luck only works so much!

    I've seen WWWF wrestling from the 1960's , 1970's and early 80's When Vince SR was in charge over the years since the internet appeared and wrestling in WWWF was good I liked it....at the time it was no different then other territories of the time.

    Now we know why Ole Anderson wasn't part of the Horsemen's WWE Hall of Fame induction

    While watching this I thought to myself "Damn Ole Anderson looks ALOT like Arn". I was today years old when I found out I'm a fucking idiot.

    You gotta respect someone with a set on him like Vince. He didn't live up to one thing he promised in that contract and the ratings were in the toilet yet he gets mad when Ted Turner wants out of the deal? lol
