This was my FiRST attempt at cooking skills when I was 13! I'm 74 now. But at that age, Jell-o was being promoted on TV constantly. It was made to look glamorous and FUN. SO I tried it. Simple enough but for my white, I used lemon flavor jell-o with evaporated milk instead of the water. The other 2 were the colored jell-o.s. My parents were very impressed and I was proud of myself for trying something so beautiful. But since those plastic glasses were not in use then, I had to resort to using my mother's wine goblets, an extra fancy touch. My first success in the kitchen. And now, I can cook in 3 styles, Mexican, Zcheck, American and Italian. Some day I'll have to count how many recipes I can make. I'm glad to see a man working in the kitchen. I'm about to start teaching my 2 little grandson's how to do the same thing and I was also going to start them off with jell-o recipes!
That's awesome. I enjoy trying different creations in the kitchen and love hearing about other peoples explorations. Your grandson's are lucky to have a grandparent like you. Hope you make some fun memories with your grandchildren.
Thank you so much for this video! You don’t know how many others I tried watching and everyone was trying to add a twist of 2 or three other ingredients for the white jello part. I’m a simple mama of 6 and need something quick and easy and your video is just that!!

How much condensed milk did you use?
Amanda Henegar 1 - 14oz can. Thanks for watching.
Why do you need the condensed milk.. Couldn't you just use the white gelatin?
White gelatin? There’s only clear. Condensed is to add the white color + flavor
