Wow you can’t even recognize that voice anymore. I had no idea he had stage 4 cancer. Best wishes to you Mr Wonderful! Hope you live a long long time! God bless!
There's aging and then there's premature deterioration. Most of these professional wrestlers are not simply 'aging' they are deteriorating due to all the damage they have sustained during their careers.
+paul kersey you must be one bad dude to be able to kick a stage 4 cancer surviving senior citizens ass bro! I bet you could hold your own against a 12 year old girl too!!
I remember running into Paul a couple of times at the Fayetteville (GA) Golds Gym. Always real cool, didn't mind working in sets with other people. Always seemed like a solid guy.
I MET PAUL ORNDORFF IN 1970 IN RIVERVIEW, FLORIDA, A SMALL TOWN OUT OF TAMPA IN A LOUNGE NAMED TAMMYS LOUNGE RUN BY A GUY NAME BIG JOE, PAUL'S DAD ALSO HAD THROAT CANCER!!
I remember early in his WWF run the fans would yell "Paula" at him. He would get so pissed start throwing a fit leave the ring and refuse to come back until they stopped. Roddy Piper was Orndorff's manager and he would whisper comforting words in his ear to get him to calm down. Those were great times and Mr. Wonderful was a great heel.
Met Paul back in 1980 after a match at what was then the Riverside Centroplex in Baton Rouge and he was bigger than life. Good to see he's still around even though he has aged considerably. Then again I have to think about those wrestlers who perished at a much younger age than he is now.
It's uplifting to see his champion attitude and his enthusiasm still burning in him and keeping him going psychologically. It's hard to endure what he went through and still have a positive attitude.
I don't say this lightly as a lot of ppl online do that "so and so should have been champ" as I grew up and understood the era but really, Mr. Wonderful is the only one who should have. Physically, charisma, intensity, promo. Name it. He had it and more.
Paul is truly one of the legends of pro wrestling who I've always felt wac underrated. As far as I'm concerned, his talent in the ring vastly surpassed prsctically sll the other "superstars" including Hulk Hogan. He has this raw intensity in his matches that truly showcased his talent, including his mic work & in ring talent. Great wrestler.
Holy crap man... i dont know what you guys' definition of shredded is... but it aint him. He was muscular yes. But he had a layer of fat on him - therefore smooth. The opposite of shredded !
As a kid growing up and watching pro wrestling, I was more of a Hulk Hogan fan. Even when I did get older and came to appreciate the heels more, I never really paid much attention to Paul Orndorff. I was more of a Jake Roberts, Rick Rude, and later on Stone Cold Steve Austin fan. If you take a look at what all the other top heels had in common, it was what Mr. Wonderful perfected years and even decades before. I placed Paul Orndorff on that never WWF champion list alongside Curt Hennig, Scott Hall, Rick Rude, and Jake Roberts for being vastly underrated. Orndorff could talk the people into the buildings for big pay-per-views and live events alike. He even had a hell of a decent run in WCW. I'd say Orndorff is one of my favorites nowadays simply because he loved and mastered his craft and even here in the latter days, you see his love for it. RIP Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff
Paul orndorff the Brandon bull and mr wonderful wrestler trainer talent agent bowling alley owner and always a cornerstone of the first main event of the first wrestlemania a true legend shall of fame looks good for maybe 75 we should all be lucky look forward to hearing more from him
I feel the same way as many of the people who commented below. Paul Orndorff was a real bad ass, an original. Loved watching him wrestle. Yeah, it's too bad all the wrestlers and sports stars we admired are getting old -- just shows how quickly the years pass by. Was it really over 30 years ago I watched Mr. Wonderful take on Roddy Piper?? Seems like only a few short years ago. Geez. Hope all the wrestlers who are now retired are happy and at peace. So many of them came to tragic ends.
They will only be one mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff that character can never be replaced or matched or anything I think mr. Wonderful's character was underutilized
I got to see Paul Orndorff at WCW Fall Brawl, may have been his very last match. He got a pinched nerve in his neck doing a 2nd PileDriver, neck injuries... he had the bad luck of being a great heel in a time when the face was pushed as the champ. If Orndorff had come up in the 90s, imagine his natural heat against a guy like Austin, 2 southerners with arrogance and excellence. I'm happy he's alive and relatively well.
Amazing to see how humble Paul is now. I recall when I saw in the 1980's Paul kicked out a fat woman from his gym. Because she touched him. Paul was fierce and strict. But he was a great heel or bad guy. But Paul made watching WWF wrestling at the time awesome!
As tough and powerful as Paul Orndorff was, he wasn't immune to the same injuries his colleagues suffered in the ring. His neck injuries are what forced him to retire from wrestling for good. Over the ensuing years he has said a number of times that a career in pro wrestling isn't something for the faint-hearted, and his best advice has been to forget about having a career in pro wrestling altogether because, in order to become a successful wrestler, one has to suffer a host of injuries along the way including broken bones. Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Lou Thesz, Harley Race,......... didn't become world champions without suffering many injuries along the way.
Man could you imagine all the knowledge that man has and to offer to people who would want . Maybe some of these so called wrestlers of today should contact him.
Should have held The WWF World Title Should have held The WWF Intercontinental Title, Should have held The NWA World Title Should have held The NWA U.S. Title. I can see him as trainer to guys that don't do that high flying acrobat stuff. He would make a great coach or trainer.
Paul looks great considering all that he has been through. He is an ispiration to cancer survivors everywhere. God Bless Mr Wonderful
Survived stage 4 cancer.....God love him.
Wow you can’t even recognize that voice anymore. I had no idea he had stage 4 cancer. Best wishes to you Mr Wonderful! Hope you live a long long time! God bless!
Prayers for continued good health Mr. Wonderful and thanks for the memories!
Orndorff is an absolute legend. Great to see him smiling and enjoying himself.
man i wish we could make him young again!
RIP Paul orndorff I remember growing up in compton watching him wrestle on wwf tv in 1985 I was 11 years old such wonderful memories
We're about the same age. I know how you feel and remember what wrestling was and meant to us kids in those days. Sucks to lose all of our heroes
So sad to see these great wrestler age...mostly bc it means we are aging too,Paul was a great heel,I sure miss those days.
agree... man has went through hell...what shape he was in
And for Orndorff,
he's blessed to have survived cancer.
NO one escapes it for sure.
There's aging and then there's premature deterioration. Most of these professional wrestlers are not simply 'aging' they are deteriorating due to all the damage they have sustained during their careers.
A Real Legend may you Rest In Peace, Mr. Orndorff. 😕
Always good to see Paul happy and healthy God bless him
Healthy?
This dude was awesome. A real bad ass and true heel
+paul kersey you must be one bad dude to be able to kick a stage 4 cancer surviving senior citizens ass bro! I bet you could hold your own against a 12 year old girl too!!
Agreed. A great heel in his time.
Glad to see mr wonderful still kicking...but I see his promos still suck
Yup
Paul and bill seam like the kind of people that if they were your friend you knew you had a friend for life.
Was one of my favorites in the mid 80´s. Wonderful!! Wonderful!!...
I remember running into Paul a couple of times at the Fayetteville (GA) Golds Gym. Always real cool, didn't mind working in sets with other people. Always seemed like a solid guy.
Big respect for Mr. Wonderful
Love you Mr Wonderful, you still the best my favourite wrestler
Loved Orndorff. A legitimate badass.
Rest in peace Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff.
he is all was going to be mr. wonderful much love him
Paul Orndorff was so original
Orndorff use to walking out to the ring with Hulk Hogan's music playing. Lol that is not original.
Love Mr Wonderful though. Favorite of all time.
Real American was originally Windham and Rotundas music, so Hogan wasn't original either.
R.I.P. Mr. WONDERFUL. I Always Hated The Character, But Behind The Curtain Apparently A Family Man! ✝️
A true legend. "Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful". R.l.P.
Great to see Mr. Wonderful still around and kicking. But Father Time is a motherfucker.
And Father Time is undefeated. We all have to wrestle him.
Considering he's a cancer survivor, I think he looks pretty good
Bobby Daniels the cost of living is dying; no one gets out for free.
TheJD that must be why his voice changed now I understand
He fought the C-monster.
Paul hold your head up high your a champ, us kids from the 80s are here for you
I MET PAUL ORNDORFF IN 1970 IN RIVERVIEW, FLORIDA, A SMALL TOWN OUT OF TAMPA IN A LOUNGE NAMED TAMMYS LOUNGE RUN BY A GUY NAME BIG JOE, PAUL'S DAD ALSO HAD THROAT CANCER!!
That promo back in the day of him at the gym making fun of people who don’t know what they’re doing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Classic heel!!
Wow. I used to watch Paul in the 80s. He was so well built. But look at him now. Bless Paul. :)
One of the best
I had a robe when I was 12 that said Mr Wonderful on the back. He was my favorite wrestler when I was a kid.
Met Paul back in 1980 after a match at what was then the Riverside Centroplex in Baton Rouge and he was bigger than life. Good to see he's still around even though he has aged considerably. Then again I have to think about those wrestlers who perished at a much younger age than he is now.
That's not fair to say that a guy aged since 1980
Orndorff is Always Mr Wonderful to me ....
Love you Paul orndorff
Love Mr. Wonderful
Always wonderful to see Mr. Wonderful.
Underrated as hell
Bless paul orndorff
I love that guy.
One of my favorite wrestlers from back in the day. From the true old-school.
Mr. Wonderful can still cut a promo better than some wrestlers nowadays.
him & One Man Gang two of the best promo cutters
He will be missed RIP Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff
Love Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff, a huge contributor to pro wrestling...

"You know what a turtle does? You know it has a thing and it does a thing."- Paul Ordorff 1980's
Love the Name!!!!!

He was always one of my FAVORITES!.
The greatest promos ever
Sucks to get old. I miss Wonderful those days
Phenomenal wrestler. Heel or Face. Should've had a run with the WWF belt & the IC belt.
Best wrestlers in and out of ring, Paul Orndorff, Don Muraco, Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes, Superstar Billy Graham, Kevin Sullivan oh god so many more
Adrian Adonis.. jesse ventura.. ace orton.. one time all under the master fuji
It was so sad to see how much he deteriorated at the end of his life. Rest in Peace Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff.
Had no idea he had cancer. Glad you made a full recovery. I like him much better here, than i did when he was wrestling.
This guy was awesome back in the day on how he would talk to people. Classic
Great wrestler.
out of any wrestler, mr wonderful probably was the most shredded, muscular one i can remember seeing in his prime. absolute monster.
jblitz55 most muscular yep. Shredded. No. Wasnt even close to Rick Rude! Now that guy was shreddeed
Rick, although shredded, had no legs.
Holy crap man... i dont know what you guys' definition of shredded is... but it aint him. He was muscular yes. But he had a layer of fat on him - therefore smooth. The opposite of shredded !
And yeah. Thats why Rude wore the godawful pants
Daveyboy _ I actually dig the pants use to love the designs on them he is still underrated but I'm glad they put him in the hall of fame
One of my favorite wrestlers

Paul orndorff the Brandon bull and mr wonderful wrestler trainer talent agent bowling alley owner and always a cornerstone of the first main event of the first wrestlemania a true legend shall of fame looks good for maybe 75 we should all be lucky look forward to hearing more from him
The Brandon Bull....legend!

that was all acting. In real life, he was a good man, very insightful.
He should be working at the Performance Center, it's in his backyard and he was trainer at the WCW Power Plant
he was special
As tough and powerful as Paul Orndorff was, he wasn't immune to the same injuries his colleagues suffered in the ring. His neck injuries are what forced him to retire from wrestling for good.

Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Lou Thesz, Harley Race,......... didn't become world champions without suffering many injuries along the way.
One of my favorites. His son Troy just put a video on youtube.Search Paul Orndorff 2021,
It's unfortunate that this interview couldn't have been done without the background chatter. Orndorff deserves some respect.
I liked when he turned on Hogan with the clothesline then the pile driver!!!!!
Paul scared the HELL OUT of me in the 80s!!!!
He should be looking like this 15,20 years from now not quite yet.
Man could you imagine all the knowledge that man has and to offer to people who would want . Maybe some of these so called wrestlers of today should contact him.
Rip
Wow. Mister wonderful. One awesome dude one guy I totally looked up to. Real badass no. BS. An a true credit
THAT OL BOY STILL GOT IT!!!
Everyone knows orndorff had his feet touch the ground before Hogan did in that title match
What a God damn legend
He was legit. His standing knee drops and standing head stomps to this day are the best... even better that Bret Harts.
MR.#1derful. you the best much luv
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
NO One will convince me that I didn't see Paul win the title in Toronto at the big event, HE WON THAT MATCH.
Superstar . In his prime no one could match his physique. Now or then
Should have held The WWF World Title Should have held The WWF Intercontinental Title, Should have held The NWA World Title Should have held The NWA U.S. Title. I can see him as trainer to guys that don't do that high flying acrobat stuff. He would make a great coach or trainer.
Two LEGENDS!!! JUST SAYIN!LATER!😁GOT TO ADD MR.WONDERFUL PAUL ORNDORFF!😇RIP
Looks better than ever!
