Dewey Martin played the lead in the Big Sky as Boone Caudell another great mountain man movie.
Wonderful in these days to think back to the good old times of my younger years, when Walt Disney made great shows to watch. I'm sure glad I was born long before all these absurd people came to be. Hunting & Trapping Has Been A Big Part Of My Life, And I Hope To Live Long Enough To See The Good Old Days Come Back ❤ God Bless America
...with Slim Pickins on the fiddle!
38:52 His eyes look like the other Daniel Boone's here😂 His mouth too, a little
I grew up with shows like this still looking for the far mountains
Pollution is in the way.
Amazing
...Boone was in that Shawnee village twice...and both times he didn't trade for a pair of Moccasins for his tenderfoot son???...
no offence Dewey but Fess Parker...
That's not far from the truth....but it's nice to have these episodes!
Yes true . Didn't know was a dan before him
Wish could turn back time
Fess Parker was the best
@@keepingwaltindisney Also, this one seems more true than the other. I've read that the real DB was 5'8" and had 10 children with Rebecca having dark eyes and hair. Plus, Quaker-like
After what we found out I don't like seeing Walt. The movie is ok, but he isn't.
By the standards of the enlightened and educated of Americans in the 1950-60s this depiction of Daniel Boone would still be seen as narrow minded, idealistic, bigoted, patriarchal, racist, sexist, anthropocentric, anti-intellectual and boorishly disregarding of the rights of everyone who disagrees with this assessment. I like the Fess Parker version better, and that Mr Parker was also involved with real estate like the Daniel Boone he portrayed. Walt Disney was a pornographic pedophile for how his true believers turned out. Get over it.
There are libraries of PhD dissertations validating the above, mine included.
Say what you want about this version of Daniel Boone, I will not take it down, but I appreciate your sentiment and alerting other viewers as to why this series may be problematic. However, to associate Walt Disney with pornography is very disturbing. While I can agree that he wasn’t perfect and had his faults, in all my research I’ve never come across something so insulting.
