Thank you! Fixed it in under 15 mins. Finally when I check the clock I'm not reminded of the stupid little needle that was jiggling around in there.

Glad you got it done! It rattled around in my car for a year before getting the courage to fix it!

Awesome repair. You just taught a bunch of people how to apply super glue to the most minute piece without getting way too much glue all over everything. I love your money saving tips on the VW and the Porsche.

I tried it and it all worked beautifully. Thanks a lot for this video! Here are a couple of things I also encountered which may be of additional help. The center grill of the panel is very flimsy. Be sure not to flex it too much when you are removing the panel so as to avoid cracking the grill (which happened to me). Also when putting the panel back in, I had a hard time getting all the side clips to go all the way in. What end up doing was put in the sides first before pushing in the front and back.

This is so freakin awesome! Thank you for posting-my second hand fell off yesterday and it bugs me so much 😆

You’re welcome! It sat in the bottom of my gauge for about a year before I got the courage to fix it

I just finished the fix! Definitely skip the second cup of coffee if you are going to attempt this! 🤣🤣🤣
One other thing-I left the passenger door ajar and waited for the clock to go to the 12 o’clock “standby” position before disconnecting it so everything would be synced up. Thanks again for posting the vid!!

First of all, thank you for posting this how to, easy self repair with the right tools !
FYI - I did not glue the needle back on, there was a back and front on our needle, the back had the hole for the spindle on this second hand to go back into, we have had no issues with this hand falling off so far. Also, for us no needle alignment necessary, once installed clock resets to correct hour and minute and second had just ticks away.
Thanks again for making this so straight forward.

I add to it, my dealership wanted about $800 to replace. I hope this helps with the loud tic tic tic

I’m pretty sure that this should be a recall because I know at least 4 people and me with the same exact problem

Could you just unscrew the bezel from the clock assembly without completely removing it from the dash?

Not sure, I didn't try that. It was so easy to remove the entire top of the dash that I chose to do it that way.

Does the second hand just point up at the point of install? I'm wondering how to know whether it is placed correctly. Great fix btw, looking to do it myself this weekend.

That's a great question...it's possible that it could be off by as much as 30 seconds, but was willing to take that chance as long as it was back installed. Not sure how you could place it precisely.

When I repaired my clock's second hand, I allowed the clock to run, I had to turn the ignition on and the moment the minute hand advanced I unplugged the clock. When I placed the second hand on the pin I slightly adjusted to align it between the 60 and 1 second tick. Not absolutely perfect, but close enough.

Anyone knows if the Macan 2014 watch is suitable/interchangeable with Cayenne 2014? Thank you in advance 🙏

The hands, I found a guy online that 3d printed them, but now saying discontinued. Ive just bough a genuine unit for £70gbp inc. postage a black one, but the hands were bent and when i tried to straighten they broke. Was also thinking of a watch repair place as they mave have something that will fit on the arm for them.
