ur my fave… currently backpacking europe and vlogging everything and taking my film cameras with me everywhere. you are so right, it captures it like you remember it in your head🥲 never thought of it like that and it makes me so happy😁
Girl, I have been binge watching your videos and you are just such a comfort and so incredibly talented. Thank you for sharing your life and love for the Lord with the world. It’s truly so inspiring :) I love watching your videos so much, you are truly so gifted at displaying life so beautifully! Never stoping shining and creating! I love you so much and praying for you! ❤️
Love the Minolta collections best cameras by far, it’s why Leica teamed up with them, you should get into slrs more and stick to prime lenses. The smaller pancake lenses are super nice if you don’t like bulky lenses, and if your Minolta doesn’t work give it a clean change the batteries it probably has a auto feature where u need batteries for it to fire, (mechanical cameras from earlier years are better because you don’t need batteries. Check the batterie door and if it looks corroded (has gunk) clean it with wipes and erasers and put a new battery in it (may need a adapter to make the voltage work for light meter if you care to use one. And if you can’t fix the light meter in mechanical cameras with batteries and you have a hot shoe buy a 60-80$ light meter attachment. Re roll your films before messing with your cameras u can also buy light leak seals to fix it. And if you go through lots of film go buy a bulk loader (daylight loader) some empty cassette and a 100ft bulk spool of film. Or go to flic film and buy bulk cinema film I see lots of things u can use to optimize your film experiences and not worry about issues. Also if you re wind your film because it’s messing up u can always get double exposures
10:02 if you still have the negative you could take photos o the negatives and do the colors yourself (I know that some colors are just set, because the way they were developed, but you can have some influence on it via colourgrading them yourself.)
Definitely collect your hardcopys and negative rolls u can always re scan them years to come if you loose your digital copies never know how easily it is to loose your digital copies
And are you re sure what your dad filmed of you at the slumber party was a super 8 as well and not just casette? (because it has sound.) Super 8 sounds was done, but can't really be developed anymore, because they don't produce them anymore. (metal strip on the super 8 for the recording) And what the hell how does your super 8 film 10 minutes? mines does 3! 😭 (seeing your footage of super 8 made me so so happy. so far I ve done two or three for one trip in Paris, a summer and winter in switzerland) edit: also you and yours friends on that trip are so so funny
tips for not getting blurry pictures? I got my first two rolls developed (from Walgreens... now I know) but they're all blurry so idk how to get them crisper ??
