I had the honor to be a part of this project on the construction end. And as a 90s kid, it was a nostalgia trip for me. I’ll never forget the TWA commercials and the toy TWA plane I had. Definitely one of the coolest projects I have ever worked on.
The TWA hotel is definitely not a 5 star hotel. No room service, rooms are small and service is lacking. The retro thing is cool and it’s super convenient, and the prices show that!

Pretty sure other 5-star hotels don't have broken shades, no front desk staff (because its virtual checkin), no garbage cans in the rooms, and most importantly, Port Authority Police and their megaphones, directing traffic onto the Jet Blue Departures on-ramp. This is an amazing building, and the bar is super fun. But in my experience, save your $ and stay at the Holiday Inn.
